Very clean, rooms well equipped. Comfortable. Breakfast is not wide range of choices. Very kind and helpful employees. Wi -fi is not so credotable. Good parking. Nice bar and good kitchen. 10-15 min from city center by walk.
This hotel is surprisingly modern for this area. The staff was fantastic. The décor and fixtures were extremely interesting, even though I didn't think it fit into historic Firenze. However they gave me some ideas for plumbing fixtures at home. A bit of a walk from the city, but very good value for the money. Try the very unique flaming rosemary Gin and Tonic the bartender invented. Also the rooms at the end of the floors are much bigger. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the English was very good.
I must start with the amazing staff. Massimo and Fabio were outstanding. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We planned to visit Lucca and Viareggio and they provided helpful tips for driving and navigating. The hotel is in a good location, meaning you're not in the hustle of traffic but everything is easy to get to. 1 block away is a tram, 10 minute walk got us to the rental car location. Rooms were nicely upgraded and room service was great.
Again, another Marriott property that doesn't play nice well with Platinum Rewards members. But first. Italy is not known for kindness and hospitality, but the folks at AC Hotel Firenze are extra horrible. Arrogance, if it were an Olympic Sport, these little fellas would be sporting medals. You go up to the front desk and they look at you like you're a burden... and you are here, because you picked the wrong hotel in Florence. Then after a few seconds of ignoring you, they "my-a colleague-a" and dismiss you to another, who happens to be busy because he/she is the only one interested in helping guests (read: cash paying customers). The facility is like a Crazy-8 Motel you find in the Texas Panhandle. No amenities, no perks, just an uncomfortable stay with a bunch of dysfunctional staff. Nothing the Marriott Rewards program promises its request and loyal customers. Avoid at all costs.
Spent 3 nights at the AC, which is about 15 minutes walk from the main train station..or 8 euro taxi ride....This is a modern hotel, with good facilities. On check in, we were greeted by Inaki, and Dario, who acknowledged my Marriot status, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There is a breakfast room...14 euros, and a small lounge/bar/restaurant, in the lobby. Our room was large, clean, and quiet...we were able to walk to all the key sites, and plenty of good restaurants....This property is very good value, for pricey, Florence. We would love to stay again. Recommend...
This doesn't compare or reflect what Marriott is about. Beds are terribly hard and noisy. No room service. From the hotel reception full of dusts and full of junk. Location is not convenient for shops or center. I wouldn't go back
Sorry Marriott you disappointed the spirit of Florence. The hotel is fairly well located and the room and bathroom are okay! The bar and breakfast spread are disappointing though. Vegetarians would struggle and others disappointed with the lack of variety and creativity in menu. I appreciate standardisation but this hotel in the beautiful city of Firenze is a bore! Only good person was Gulia with her smile and helpful nature.
This was a nice modern hotel that was well priced and within a decent walk of the Florence city center. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had once issue where the batteries died in the safe which I did not discover until 15 minutes before we had to leave for our tour. However, the front desk staff went above and behind and was able to get a safe technician just in time that I was able to get the belongings I needed in time to leave for our tour. Without that effort my experience with the hotel would have been much different.
The AC Hotel is modern and very clean. Staff helpful. The distance is about 10-minute walk to old Florence city. This is great because hotel is easy to find as it's away from the web of small streets and you won't face traffic congestion too. (Gives you a chance to walk off all the great gelato you'll be eating) Breakfast is complete and functional. High speed internet is really good. Good enough to even watch Netflix online or make video calls. Bed is very comfortable and the neighbourhood is quiet. It's a Marriott property so you'll get the points and night rewards too.
I booked this hotel as part of our trip around Italy for my husband's birthday. We stayed here two nights. We travelled from Pisa by train into the main station, not Leopoldo. We were a ten min walk to hotel (20 mins the day we arrived as we got a tad lost!) The hotel is so close to everything, providing your Happy to walk. The rooms were spacious and clean. We didn't eat here so can't comment on food. Lots of little restaurants nearby which were fab and short walking distance. Florence is a beautiful place. Recommend the open top by tour to see the sights quicker. Defo get off at stop overlooking Florence. Views were stunning. But you can also walk this :) Hotel staff lovely and very helpful, ask for map on arrival to find your whereabouts easier as staff are more than happy to help :) would return again
