We stayed for couple of days. It's a nice hotel. The front desk was helpful. Particularly Massimo was very nice. He helped us to book a day trip to Pisa the day before we checked in. It's little bit away from the city center. We had to take taxi to go the city center. There is also a bus stop close by. It was very hot in August so we decided to take the taxi. The WiFi was pretty good. The only issue we had was we could hear the conversations in the next room and also constantly we were hearing vibrating noise in our room. I did mention that to the front desk and they said they will send someone to our room and check that. But it was not taken care.
First time here with my wife and another couple. So easy to get around and so much to see. The Marriott AC hotel Firenze is located within walking distance of most of the sites and great restaurants. Staying in the same hotel for four days and find it very comfortable with a very helpful staff. Great price and great location.
Rooms were nice but staff were not helpful. I requested a coffee maker or a hot water kettle for my room and was told that was only available for certain rooms. Also no conditioner provided with toiletries - while I find this common in many European boutique hotels, as affiliated with the Marriot brand - I find this disappointing. Also my room door lock broke everyday of my stay. I was never offered any compensation for the inconvenience.
For my stay in Firenze i have decided to book the AC Marriot Hotel! Was the second and last time that i stay in an AC hotel. We feel not wellcome as a SPG Platinum member. Front desk staff without any preparation! Majority training. Main lobby with maintenance works and crazy noise! Small room, lift with problems As an example one day i arrive to the room very tired and wish to take a shower! At 6:00 PM there are no towels in the the bathroom!!! And they need more than 15 minutes to take and forget the bathroom carpet!
Booked the AC Hotel, because I have had good experiences with the brand, and I am a Marriott/Starwood Platinum member. The check-in was a breeze, great front desk staff, very nice rooms, clean and well-designed bathrooms. Somewhat average breakfast...a bit below the usual at AC properties, but then again the staff was first rate. That being said, you have to be aware this hotel is a bit isolated. Contrary to some reviews, it is most definitely NOT easy walking distance to city center. Due to jet lag, we both took naps each day, so that was 4 taxi fares daily. That is a lot of Euros, my friends. The hotel is terrific if you are good with buses or have your on transportation. Recommended with reservations.
This is a great hotel choice: modern, clean with easy access for car and located at walking distance to the city center. Room are nice but not well soundproofing, which is a problem if somebody is walking with heel on the upper level's room
Stayed at the AC Hotel Firenze while on a family vacation. It's not ideal for the family as there aren't amenities oriented towards the family. Secondly, it's location is approximately a 30 minute walk to the various sites in Firenze. What the hotel lacked in amenities and location, greatly made up with its staff - specifically Antonio, Daren and Cristina - very friendly, accommodating and caring about what they do. Antonio (the sommelier) gave me a lesson on the various wine regions in Italy and introduced me to the hidden gems in the south. Daren is a great mixologist- give him an idea of what your taste buds are favoring and he will create a cocktail for you! What ups definitely stay here again - if traveling on business!
I am a lifetime platinum member of Marriott and never stayed at this brand before. I was on 10 day driving vacation starting in Venice and ending in Rome. I am staying at all Marriott properties along the way given my past great experiences. I was a bit disappointed upon arrival since staff did not speak perfect English and not forthcoming with lots of information which I am accustomed to. The hotel is very new with a clean and contemporary look. Part of the lobby was under renovation but the rest of the lobby including the bar and restaurant were open for service. The rooms were very clean and simple and the AC worked very well. The bathroom was big and the sink and countertop were clear glass which was very interesting. The water pressure was very high and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was served in the lobby continental style buffet with hot and cold options. The coffee was delicious as was the food from the buffet which costs 14 euro per person. The front desk was very helpful in arranging taxis and dinner reservations. I would recommend if you are looking for a clean and contemporary hotel and a 10 minute taxi ride from the major attractions.
The hotel was very clean and the room was good. The hotel was very fairly priced for the level of service. The buffet breakfast was also nice. The staff was very receptive and very helpful. The hotel was undergoing some renovations in the lobby and it looks like the lobby area is going to be much nicer than when we first checked in. The hotel is also located close enough to the attractions, but it is a bit of a walk.
Slightly away from city which was good in lot of ways. Quite but neat neighborhood, walk along with river and hotel was comfortable and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also decent though there were limited choices for vegeterians
