Being an Platinum Elite Member, i was expecting to be upgraded to a higher category room/suite, which was not not understandablly as they mentioned they only have 2 suite rooms in the hotel. But they neither offered us free breakfast nor any evening lounge facility. Not sure why is this hotel part of the membership program if it cannot live up to the expectations of the program.
I stayed with my family for a couple of nights while on vacations. The hotel was clean and nice. However, Two major disappointments: for a platinum spg member, the reservation doesnt include breakfast. Stayed in 5 different hotels with the program and this one was the only who didn't include it. When we came back at night, the air con wasnt working. With almost 40 Celsius, ask concierge to check. They sended the tech who basically said he cant fixed (maybe he wasnt on the mood to do his job) and advise me and my family to OPEN THE WINDOW so the room can ventilate. Didint bring the case to the manager, nor offer a fan or check to change to another room. Simple not the answer to a guess.
Florence has become overly touristy and many of the hotels are crammed into the highly touristy part of the city. This AC is perfectly located, just a short 15 minute walk to the main sights, yet far enough away that you leave the tourist craze behind you and are immersed in a local neighborhood. Just across the river there are wonderful local restaurants. The hotel itself is fresh and modern. Love how the rooms are decorated in a crisp way. A special benefit we noticed at this AC is that it seems to be more allergy-friendly than most. My daughter is allergic to most hotel rooms (carpet, bedding washed in highly scented detergent.) This AC was particularly good for her skin and did not activate her allergic reactions. A few other helpful tips: This AC does not have an ATM inside the building, but there is one a few blocks away on a main street that is easy to get to. The main train station is only a 15-20 minute walk away. You can walk to all the main sights very easily. We will definitely stay here again. We used our Marriott points and it was a great value to redeem points here!
I spent one nite, I found the room comfortable, enjoyed the complimentary toiletries. The bathtub is high, like all bathtubs in Italy. It is also equipped with an alarm bell in the bathtub. The breakfast was great, they had vartieties. I am glad the had whole grain croissants. I found the scramble eggs bit runny. The breakfast area is well layout. Very nice lobby. The front desk staff were helpful, I did not had an outlet adapter to charge my cell, they were kind enough to load me one. It is a beautiful hotel, close to the main roads.
The rooms were fine, not as nice as a typical Marriott, but close. Size of the room was fine. AC was set at 20 celsius; we couldn't get it quite as cool as we like. The staff were nice at the front desk, but we often had trouble reaching the desk by phone in the room. They charge for breakfast (should be included in the accommodation). Location is ok...a little distant from downtown, but not bad. 10 Euro taxi ride to the main tourist areas (or a 20-30 minute walk). Close to the train station.
We had only a weekend to spend in Florence, and we picked this hotel mostly due to its location and price. The hotel is conveniently located 10-15 walking from the main train station and 15-20 min walking from the touristic center. Our rooms were modern looking, clean and spacious. The service was excellent (great service by Gabriela who made us feel at home). The breakfast does not offer too much, but what it does offer its fresh and delicious. If back in Firenze, we would stay here again.
Disappointing! I am currently staying here and the staff has been nice enough but I have to question if this is even a marriott. No offer of points on checkin. No breakfast included. Seriously no amenities. There's even a card in my room suggesting I SIGN UP for Marriott rewards. Seriously, Marriott? You can do better. I stay 100 nights/year with you and use your credit card for everything. And here, it's 100% for nothing. This is my third stay at an AC (all Europe) and they are equally disappointing in this way. The facility itself though is clean and modern and not TOO far from downtown (10euro taxi ride one way). So I will give them that much credit.
Nothing special about this hotel... staff are very transactional, they just want to go on with their mundane tasks. Long walk to the train station like 13-15 mins, 20 mins walk to the Duomo. Wifi is poor, not all amenities are working like the safe box which I asked reception to help out but didn't do anything. Overall, will not recommend to anyone else - you are better off staying near the Duomo.
Very clean, rooms well equipped. Comfortable. Breakfast is not wide range of choices. Very kind and helpful employees. Wi -fi is not so credotable. Good parking. Nice bar and good kitchen. 10-15 min from city center by walk.
This hotel is surprisingly modern for this area. The staff was fantastic. The décor and fixtures were extremely interesting, even though I didn't think it fit into historic Firenze. However they gave me some ideas for plumbing fixtures at home. A bit of a walk from the city, but very good value for the money. Try the very unique flaming rosemary Gin and Tonic the bartender invented. Also the rooms at the end of the floors are much bigger. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the English was very good.
