Very poor hotel, very unclean and small rooms. The linens were dirty and manager changed the room. Special thanks to Alan, he was incredibly nice, pleasant and helpful. Location - far from the centre. No tea kettle in room, basic breakfast. Do not recommend this hotel as you could get much better for the same price
This hotel is in the middle of a construction site. We were on a guided tour of Rome with Air Transat and this hotel was the choice of the tour company for our 2 night stay in Florence. This area, according to a local restaurant, had been under construction for a year. So why this hotel was part of the tour is beyond me. Our tour of 53 people arrived at the hotel at 7pm. There were only 2 people on the front desk to check us in. They knew we were coming so why only 2 people on the desk???? There is no restaurant and the bar was never opened the whole 2 days we were there. The morning breakfast was terrible. No WIFI in the rooms. Our room overlooked the garbage at the back of the hotel. The room was quite modern and the bathroom was good. Would not recommend this hotel at all.
Hotel was good, however, there was lot of metro construction work was going on, hence location was quite messy......Room service was not good, however, other services and staff was good. I would not suggest until the Airport Metro line is completed.... :)
After entering the hotel, first impressions were very good however after getting to the room and checking everything out we were disappointed. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing and the egg and bacon cold and runny. above the buffet is a pond for the fish on the ceiling and on all the photos this is looked beautiful however it was green with algae. The room is lovely and quiet and nicely decorated with a beautiful wood floor. when you have a shower because of the design it water goes everywhere and the bathroom stinks of dampness. There was a big hole in the ceiling (we think a cleaner or someone forgot to cover it again so we just pulled the piece back as best as we good to cover it again). I know this sounds like a luxury but the tv has literally 800 channels but they are unfortunately only Italian and the wifi... takes forever to load and drops out the whole time. BUT the bed is very comfy and the staff are very friendly! For a few nights like we had it's okay because you basically only shower and sleep there but longer I wouldn't advise.
The front desk staff are not very helpful at all. Hotel was updated and clean. Wifi is rely bad. Breakfast not very good nor were the staff. Close to train station but construction made it a nightmare to access hotel. All in all stay would not stay here again.
The front desk staff are great, friendly, helpful and speak perfect English. The hotel is modern and recently refurbished. Our hotel room double was two single beds pushed together, terrible mattresses and generally uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin, so don't expect a good nights sleep. We stayed two nights and barely slept, waking with sore backs, hot and bothered. The wifi is awful, basically doesn't work (seems to be a trend in Italy). The floor was covered in ANTS! Under the bed hasn't been cleaned in years and ants came and went in abundance. Sometimes they were there, sometimes not. Weird. Overpriced for a bad back and no sleep. And the breakfast... chopped up hotdog and crap coffee... don't bother. Florence is incredible however.
The hotel has an amazing location. Jus a walking distance from S.M.Novella station. It is centrally located from all tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious and neatly decorated. Breakfast is adequately varied. Staff is helpful, Franco at the reception is very friendly and indeed pro active. A good hotel overall.
Looks like the hotel was recently refurbished, because I can't agree with most of the negative feedback. Rooms are big enough, very clean and comfortable. Compared with most of the 4 star hotels located close to the train station, this one gives good value. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good. Despite of the fact that hotel is located very close to the railways, noise isolation was good enough and sleeping was not a problem.
My wife and I were part of a group of 30 staying for 5 nights. The reviews from last year were terrible so we were concerned that the refurbishment may not have happened. As it happened all our rooms were re-furbished although in our room the floor seemed to have been left. Some rooms had safes and a fridge but not a lot of storage. We had a lot of storage, fridge but no safe. We also had a balcony. Our view was limited but others who overlooked the railway also had a good view beyond to the hills. The desk was in the wrong place which made it difficult to get past the bed. The bathroom was large enough and the towels were an improvement on comments from last year. The large bath towels were changed each day. Some had very modern showers with fixed and hand held shower heads though ours was a rather flimsy hand held one slotted into a socket. The TV was new but very few international channels, none in English. The wifi was good when it worked but at times the router was busy. There were no plugs in the room for an international plug but surprisingly there was one in the bathroom with the hair dryer. There was some mess on the carpets because of the workers continuing with the refurbishing but there was no noise. The bathroom of the next room backed on to our bedroom with the result of noise from running water and one day air in the hot water pipes caused a terrific noise. The reviews on breakfast last year were also terrible but I can report that it is now adequate; cereals, tinned fruit, yogurt, prunes, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs and scrambled egg, rolls, croissants, toast etc The only poor aspect was the fruit juices which were made from powder. It was the same every day. Unfortunately the road outside was dug up and there was no work being done. It was difficult to walk past but at least there was no noise. The hotel is about 10 mins from the station but the noise through the double glazing was minimal. It is at least a 15 min walk to the nearest of the sites you would wish to visit. The staff as reported last year were very helpful.
Very run down hotel, smallest TV ever, mildew, broken toilet seat. AC does not work. 3 hangers available 😆 what a joke! How on earth did they get 4 stars??? Im very disappointed as I booked this for business and for my colleagues too. Stay away from this hotelthere is not even a kettle to make tea 🙄
