This is definitely a 5Star hotel. We were awed by our double story room, very Italian and cosy room. The man in charged named Giovanni was very friendly and helpful. The buffet style breakfast was fantastic! So many cakes, croissants and jams selection and we were served by this very nice old lady. Although the hotel is quite the walking distance to the train station (we don't mind cause we love to walk) but once u arrived at the hotel it's all worth it.. I would definitely recommend this hotel if u ever come to Firenze.
Loved Hotel Fedora. Stayed here with my husband and 2 young children for a night whilst visiting Florence. Hotel owner was extremely friendly and helped us out no end. From booking us our transfer taxis, getting us a kettle for our baby's night feed as well as helping a panicked mother with ice and a towel for my daughter when she bumped her head! (She is fine now!) Beds were comfortable, we had lots of room and free wifi! Breakfast was great as well, plenty to choose from, cold meat and cheese, cakes, croissants and yogurts. A great selection. It has a real quirky feel this hotel, it's situated in an old building which really adds to the experience. We found it was a reasonable walking distance from the train station and centre of Florence. A great value place to stay and we would certainly stay again when we come back to Florence.
Room was nice, air conditioning was necessary in summer. Continental breakfast is included with the meal. Our room was for 4 people, we had a stairwell with a bed upstairs. Hosts were very nice. We would stay again.
We spent 5 nights in the hotel with 15 pupils (quiet type of !) and have been very wellcome, for any question we asked, and for any organisation we needed, with kindness. The owner speaks french. The rooms are spacious, some rooms used as bathrooms too, and one room has a balcony. Most of the rooms look onto the street, and can be noisy because some windows do not close that well. As we got up early, it was not that uncomfortable. Special mention for the breakfast. I can say that the value for money is really good.
If you keep in mind that this is a budget hotel, you will not be disappointed. We had plenty of room in our quad room for our family of 4. The hotel staff were very attentive and were ready to help any time we asked for assistance with calling taxis, storing luggage, restaurant recommendations, etc. My only complaint is that there was a step in the bathroom that I stumbled down a couple of times. No one else in my family had a problem with it, only me. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. For the price, it is well worth it!
We were there for 7 days. The rooms are bigger then any hotel i have ever stayed in. Air-conditioned worked great.Room was very big and cozy. The situation of the hotel is great. The train station, the Duomo and the sights of the city are near. When we arrived, they were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was rich and neat. The wifi was great. The hotel is situated in a safe place. Although we arrived after check-in time, the lady in the reception was really helpful. Safe private parking, excellent breakfast. Just book it.
The hotel is on the second floor of an apartment block. It is in urgent need of renovation. The bathroom door in our room needed a door knob! The breakfast was adequate. The main problem here is the long walk to the main attractions of Florence and considering the lack of public transport and the lack of taxis, this distance is the chief disadvantage of the hotel. Next time I will look for a hotel downtown.
You will love your stay HERE the staff HERE is Like your family. They TRY to help you beds are à lot comfortable easily accessible quite near to squares if you do not speak italian dont worry the staff HERE speak good English which is quite uncommon in İtaly
Hotel was old. Bathroom not the best but the staff was really nice and the free breakfast was decent. It was a convenient location for walking to most all of Florence. But, near a busy highway which was pretty loud at night while trying to sleep.
The place is not very far from main station the road is a bit rocky for traveller with luggages. Main lobby is on second floor with an elevator which is fit only to one person and the bag should not be bigger than 25-28" otherwise you would not fit in. I got the room for 3 people, it was ok but environment and the pictures in the room are a bit too creepy. Wifi is weak. However, the host is very nice and homemade breakfast was good.
