We were a couple on a trip where we both had business in Florence. The hotel is very convenient to the Florence Fiera congress center where my meeting was - close enough to return to the hotel for breaks, etc. My husband had separate meetings to conduct and, even though the hotel does not have meeting rooms, they were so very accommodating in helping him use the breakfast room space for the purpose. A special thanks to Elizabeth who was so sweet and eager to help. She really made us feel like the hotel was home. With all the business trips, and the fact that we were each sick a day, one of us was constantly coming or going, but Elizabeth or whichever staff member was at reception, always greeted us and our business guests with a welcome and a smile. The room was clean, the towels and linens lovely, the fridge and safe worked, the minibar is reasonably priced, and the heat was effective. The double windows meant it was quiet enough to sleep even during the day (see the line about being sick) but then they could be opened to get some fresh air as well. The hotel doesn't look like much when you arrive, but it turned out to be just what we needed!

The location is excellent, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room is clean and quiet. We enjoyed our 3-night stay very much, and will definitely stay here again when i am in Florence next time.

This is the second time I have stayed at Cosimo de’ Medici. I LOVE it. It is very clean and you can smell how clean it is the second you walk in to your room. It is in such a perfect location. 2 minutes walk to the train station, less than 10 minutes walk to the Duomo. Close to the San Lorenzo Market (which has fantastic food) This hotel and their staff is awesome!

Loved the hotel and location to all the places we were going. However, we had an issue on the last day of the trip when we were checking out that turned us off. Amidst the chaos of checking out while on vacation, we ACCIDENTALLY left the door to the elevator open and it sent an alarm off (was not loud by any means). The male receptionist yelled at us to close the door when we came down to his level. He continued to yell at us even after my mother ran up three flights of stairs to alleviate the issue. For someone who works in hospitality, he was unfriendly and completely not understanding of the accidental mishap.

Great experience, the staff was helpful and extremely friendly! Location was close to all of the sights and things we wanted to do on this vacation. Overall, our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations.

The hotel was very close to the train station. due to all the construction going on it was a bit of a challenge getting to it. However, it is very clean. The hotel staff was very courteous and responsive.

The room was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly. The breakfast had a selection of fruits, eggs and sausage, and cereals. The best part of the breakfast was the real honeycomb. The lady serving coffees in the morning was super friendly. The location was convenient.

We arrived before our scheduled check in and were able to store our bags and head out to explore the city. We stayed in room 118, a quad room, near the breakfast area. The beds were comfortable except one had a hard area in the middle. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed and the shower was great. The ladies at the fronk desk were very helpful. The breakfast was good and had a large variety. We really liked the individually made caffe, hot chocolate and steamed milk. Great location near the train station. We would definitely recommend it this hotel and would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in January 2018. The hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the train station, which makes it very easy to find if you're coming from another city. Because we were coming from Bologna, we found the location absolutely fantastic. Also, if you want to go to nearby cities like Pisa, Siena, or even Cinque Terre, you don't have to worry about catching a taxi to the train station as all you need to do cross the street and off you go. There are lots of eateries, cafes, fast food restaurants near the hotel, and the staff is lovely. Breakfast was great; a friendly lady serves tea or coffee and you can help yourself from the open buffet. Price was reasonable. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Florence, which is so far our favourite city in Italy.

I selected the hotel using three criteria, namely short walking distance from airport bus and from central railway station (Santa Maria Novella) but, at the same time, a reasonable walking to the historical attractions. The room for a single with two suitcases was cramped but I got what I had paid for.
