A really pleasant hotel not far from the central market and the centre of the town. Within easy reach of the station and can walk to most places of interest. Breakfast was plentiful but make sure you get there before 10am otherwise you'll be disappointed and items soon start to be removed. Staff very helpful at all times.
I had a single room which although compact the bathroom specs were great. The bed was very comfortable, super clean bedding and more than comfortable for a solo traveller. Situated right near the station, quiet and in the heart of everything. Would recommend. Only minus the hotel shares the entry with 4 other hotels which is the norm in a lot of the hotels, look for the 'Hotel' sign and the 'Medici'. If you google first you will find easy. So close to everywhere.
This was a nice hotel! The rooms were nice and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable and elegant. The bathroom was nice too and clean. I liked the breakfast, many options and tasted great too. Overall, excellent!
Despite being located on a pretty busy road, this hotel was great, I was not disturbed by traffic at all and it's just round the corner from a great street of shops and dining that leads right to the Duomo. Minuets from the train station too. Really good breakfast included with our stay also. The only issue with my room was a tiny bathroom which was a bit annoying but that would not put me off staying here again.
Staff were terrific, rooms clean. But so very noisy if we opened the window. Which we like to do! And that huge step up into the bathroom was difficult. It was also difficult getting into the shower as the basin is in the way. Not a place to stay for 5 nights. Two maximum would be all we would recommend
the hotel was perfect for us - two minutes walk for the station and 10 minutes from the Duomo. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room had a small balcony and was spotless, with double glazing and shutters so we didn't hear anything from the street below. Breakfast the second morning was disappointing, That's why I've given the 'staff' four stars not five. Hot food wasn't replenished, the selection wasn't as good as the first morning (when there was a different girl on duty) we had to look for her to ask for coffee and used tables weren't cleared. Also the breakfast room is tiny and the tables very close together. However because of the location and the standard of the room we would stay there again. However we would s
I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the station. On their website they have two standards of rooms: standard and budget. The standard is tiny so the budget must be the size of a cupboard. Our room was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was so tiny we put the only chair in the room on top of the wardrobe as it was placed between the side of the bed and the wall creating an access issue. The bathroom is a “hallway ensuite” with shower, vanity, bidet and toilet. The shower is about 60cm by 90cm wide so very small. I am small and this shower was too awkward. A large person would struggle in the shower. The breakfast starts at 7:30 am which I found late given that some of the tours from Florence have very early starts. The staff were helpful however I found having to hand the key in when going out was frustrating and a worry. We came back from being out and a different staff member was on the desk. She handed the key over with no questions asked. Anyone could have walked off the street and asked for our room key. I have given 4 stars due to the location and helpfulness of staff.
Good hotel and staff very friendly. Room ok but bathroom pretty old and for the price needs and update especially as our room had one video to a bad courtyard which was a dumping area. Bedroom very clean and tidy and would possibly stay again as a great location to the station within 100m and easy to get around Florence from here.
Stayed in Room 134 for 3 nights. Arrived early from Venice on the train and was given this room as our room wasn't cleaned yet. The is very well appointed and very quiet as it is in the back away from the street. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very modern and well appointed. The complementary breakfast was very good with hot and cold foods. Lots of restaurants and the Marketplace close by. 5 minutes from train station, where most bus tours start.
This little hotel is very close to the train station in Venice and close to a nice little cafe, Bondi where we had a great little dinner. Cosimo de'Medici is an easy walk from the train station even with luggage. They have an elevator but it is small as are many in Europe. The room was clean, bathroom again small but adequate and we had a view of the street below our window. Breakfast was lovely and the lady who made us coffee and the woman at the front desk were very helpful. The price is much lower than many of the surrounding hotels. We had stayed at a beautiful hotel near the square during our tour but opted for this night near the train station at a lower rate and were not disappointed.
