Great location, interesting property, seems like you could just as easily get a modern room or a 400 year old one like we did (not joking). Our room was huge and featured a massive fresco painting on the ceiling, felt like "Night at the Museum"! A stay we will never forget!

Very beautiful hotel with many interesting locations nearby. Historical places within a short walk. We stayed in room 12. Room was small but typical for these historic hotels. Water pipes made loud noise when other rooms were showering. It kept waking us up.

The bathrooms of this hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever seen I was supposed to have a VIP upgrade and even the cleaning lady told me they gave me the worst room (room 39) some are renewed but mine not. The whole place smells like sewer

I really wanted to stay on the canal and I am so pleased with this pick - staff was super nice and helpful and my room was great. I was able to walk every day for exercise safely right along the canal - great views and after crossing the bridge had some really good inclines to walk.

The room I was in felt outdated and not as maintained as the rest of the hotel. The shower didn't drain very well so I had to keep turning it off to prevent it overflowing. The rest of the property was lovely, the staff were friendly and the rooftop terrace was a highlight.
