Our stay was very pleasant and the hotel was very clean. This hotel is in a very convenient location with easy access to downtown and to the river and surrounding towns. That have a friendly and helpful staff. Very nice decor as well.
Nice well-maintained hotel. Its a little old if you look closely but everything is clean and working. Fitness center is very small but it was empty when I was there so no problems. And the AC in the room works great. Highly recommended if you’re in the area - Florence is much nicer than nearby Muscle Shoals.
Checked into Hampton Inn Florence-Downtown on 01/12/18 with wife and two kids to attend a baby shower. The room this happened in was #409 a two room suite. The kids were exhausted and sleeping heavy in the other room. I was watching TV and my wife was taking a shower. Then, I hear my wife yell from the bathroom. I walk into the bathroom to see what is going on and crawling on the shower curtain was a bed bug! This is the bathroom, and I thought bed bugs stayed around the bed? I took a picture of the bug with my phone (see attached) and then put the bug on a towel. I took this bedbug down and gave it to the night desk clerk. The night was not a fun experience. We ended up leaving our suitcase behind and packing home in black trash bags for my wife is terrified of cross contamination of our home. We had to cancel our plans the morning of 1/13 and spent several hours putting all our stuff (several loads) into the Hotel dryer on the 3rd Floor (high heat is about the only method that works to kill bed bugs). Upon arriving home, my wife spent many hours repeating this process. There was zero notation of this issue in computer system for communication between the night desk clerk and the Hampton daytime clerk on the problem. The lady during the daytime was nice and friendly, but what are you going to say to make finding live bed bug in your room any better? Yes, Hampton comped one of our two nights, but that doesn’t nearly cover the cancellation of our Saturday morning plans, leaving luggage behind, and amount of time we have spent to decrease risk of bringing bedbugs into our home. Nonetheless, I am not looking for another apology or compensation for mine and wife’s time and headache. I only write complaints when issues are large. My wife can tell anyone, I rarely complain. Thus, my reason for writing this is that I hope it brings awareness to the growth as well as how common the bed bug issue is becoming in hotels. Three of the last four Hilton hotels I have stayed since October 2017, I have had a bed bug issue! For any traveler, check your rooms very closely.
Friendly, clean and comfortable accommodations within a short walk from the pleasant shops of downtown Florence and the university. Very friendly staff. Convenient access to major roads and other area sights. This is our second stay over a period of three years and we have been very satisfied.
Clean rooms, good beds, hot tub and (smaller) pool. fabulous complimentary breakfast. helpful staff to guide you around town. The king studio suite is nice. You can walk to downtown restaurants a few blocks away. Central location to Florence downtown, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia
The Hampton Inn Staff at this location were superb!!! The room was very spacious, free internet. We arrived after dinner and we were greeted warmly, and at checkout the general manager engaged us for conversation and we felt appreciated.
We stayed there after we left Shiloh natl park and wanted to stay close instead of drive all the way back to Arky. Nice modern facility with clean rooms. Continental breakfast area was nice and clean just needed the trash dumped as they were overflowing. Had a indoor pool so the kids were happy but the hot tub was out of order. Dairy Queen is right across the street if you need a quick bite.
I always stay at this hotel when visiting the Shoals area. The location is great. The hotel is clean and very nice. The bed was super comfortable. And the staff is always very helpful. I’m picky when it comes to hotels as I’m a little ocd and a germaphobe. I have never experienced any issues with this hotel and I stay here a couple of times a year.
I visit Florence Alabama twice a year and I love staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites Florence-Downtown. Its location is in the heart of downtown Florence and is within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants. The staff is amazing and is the real reason why I continue to stay there.
