I stayed here for 4 nights. It was a short 5 minute walk from the train station and located within the lovely Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Every night in the piazza there is a different person singing with kids playing and just a nice vibe. The hotel was lovely, came with breakfast included and a small pool on the 6th floor. When I arrived my room was not ready so I was upgraded to the junior suite so we had a balcony for us to sit outside and listen to the live music. The room is nice, the beds are round in shape which was new for me. However please note, they don't have an ironing board and if you are crazy about ironed clothes like me.. this may bug you. Other than the note above its centrally located, you can see the Duomo from your bedroom.. about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and 10 minutes to Ponte Vechhio and very close to the train station
We have just returned from a week stay at the Grand Minerva for our honeymoon - it was spectacular. The hotel was so beautiful from the reception area, to the bedrooms which were modern and spacious. We booked a normal size room, which we debated upgrading before we left but to be honest, it was just beautiful. We were on the fifth floor (highest minus the pool) and the views were incredible over the square and ahead to the duomo. The rooftop pool was a saving grace during the hot afternoons and offered gorgeous views over the city. Hotel staff were always very friendly and eager to help, suggesting restaurants and making booking on our behalf. They even insisted upon a bottle of prosecco and strawberries to celebrate our wedding, such nice thoughtful details. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel, truly stunning! Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable honeymoon.
If you are in Florence you must visit the Hotel Minerva roof top patio for Bellini's and apps the scenery is truly unique perspective of the city. The drinks and staff are outstanding. Stay for sunset and you will not be disappointed.
We stayed there two days last week. Location from station(5 min. by walk) and most tour points(5-10 min. by walk) is perfect!!! Room facility is clean and well-allocated. Main lobby is very cozy and good for rest during the hot day. (there were complimentary cold tea for guest. It was very careful service for guest travling.) The view from top roof pool was great. The pool size was small but it's good enough for cooling down which was necessary for extremely hot weather during summer season. All staffs were kind and I could feel that they were doing their best to help my stay more comfortable. I think this hotel can be better option than any other 5 stars hotels in Firenze.
What a nice charming pleasant hotel toplocated at lovely square. Standing on the rooftop you have a great view of Florence and il grande duomo. Reception warm and enthusiastic. Perfect air conditioning, good rooms, price/quality. You will enjoy it.
We love this hotel and now use it each time we visit in summer. In fact we have now started bringing family and friends to join us. It's location is a perfect base for exploring the city but it's the breath taking views from the rooftop pool which won our hearts. The staff are also consistently wonderful, welcoming and extremely helpful, especially in the rooftop bar. We always like to stay on level 5 as this is just below the roof terrace and you can also get great views from the city facing rooms however we spend most of our time on the roof terrace that this isn't a priority for us. Thank you for another wonderful stay and we will see you again next summer.
Before we arrived I sent the hotel a request of a view of the Duomo. Leonardo quickly replied stated that he asigned us a lovely view and that he did. All of the staff were great at the front desk. Our room was lovely and brand new. The location is perfect walking distance to everything and in this heat, the rooftop pool was a huge hit. Not many hotels have a pool in Florence. We will always stay here. Thanks for the grand treatment.
We have booked the hotel for 3 night. This is in the great location this is about 7 minutes walk from Duomo and it's spectacular view of the Duomo from the rooftop pool This hotel is beautiful from inside and outside Grate service good staff... We really like it
This hotel is superb, great location and a four star better than many five stars we've stayed in in Europe. It has just been refurbished and the rooms are modern, clean in design and spacious. The staff are warm and efficient; always made to feel special. The added bonus is a rooftop pool with stunning city scape views.
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of Tuscany. The Hotel is located a mere 5 minute walk from the train station and has breath-taking views of the Duomo. We were checked in by friendly and welcoming staff before being shown to our room. The room itself was well decorated, modern and spacious and we were delighted to discover that it overlooked the main square, with a view of the cathedral in the background. We opted only to eat breakfast in the hotel, as there is a wide range of restaurants and cafes within metres of the hotel. Breakfast itself was good. It consisted of a large, frequently replenished buffet with options ranging from a cooked breakfast to cereal, to fruit. Undoubtedly, the highlight of staying at the Minerva for us was the rooftop pool. It provided a great opportunity for us to relax and have a cooling break from the sun. Be warned, however, that there are few chairs and loungers so if you want a seat you may have to get there early. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Grand Minerva. Despite being a large hotel the staff were incredibly helpful and offered a personal service.
