The rooms are comfortable. The service really pleasent and the owners kind and helpful.I stayed two nights and had no ideas about Rome streets and the owner Mr Vincenzo helped me a lot in finding adresses for my business. When I arrived in the Motel ,it was 23.00 at night and had no roaming in my cellphone. He made me phone my family and childreen and didn't charge the phone call. The motel car is really comfortable and cheap. A volgswagen caddy life . I recomend it to anybody. Thank you Motel Corsi! Hope return there as soon as possible !
This tidy property is about 15-20 mins from FCO airport. They offer a shuttle service, but I would inquire in advance if interested as there is only one van and at peak times it will already be committed. If you have a car, it is an easy drive to the airport. For 5 euro, a nice continental breakfast spread is available, and there is a small bar open in the evenings. The staff is very helpful and friendly. No pool, no grounds to speak of, but a comfortable and convenient place to stay as you arrive in or depart out of Rome.
We were flying out of Rome the next morning so were looking for a hotel near the airport that would accommodate 2 adults and 4 teenage children. Motel Corsi was a great fit for us. It was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The parking lot and reception are in the back of the building. There is a gas station in front and thought that might be off putting but it was not. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This is a beautiful motel to stay at when you first arrive in Rome or on your last night in Rome. It is conveniently located close to FCO airport and the train station. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff is so friendly. There is a beautiful glass elevator with ivy. The buffet breakfast is the only downside to this hidden gem of a motel. There was not much to choose from except sweet cakes, the ham slices were old and tasted a little funny and the fruit was not ripe. There is a wonderful restaurant across the street that has superb food.
Motel Corsi is good for a first Night sleep in Italy. By car it's an easy drive, and you will have no problem finding it, it is visible from the freeway. Beds are comfortable, rooms spartan but adequate. Breakfast is forgettable. Go to one of the small cafes next door in-stead, and stock up.
We stayed overnight at Motel Corsi as we had an early flight home and wanted to be close to the airport. There is nothing luxurious about this hotel, but it was adequate for our needs (as a stop over). Most importantly the hotel was clean (bathroom, floors, sheets). It's exactly what you'd expect in this price range, but given the cleanliness, I would recommend it.
We stayed there for one night. Don't be irritated by the description saying it's in Fiumicino. It's not central and to get to the airport you need do pay at the start of the highway. The rooms are okay, as well as the breakfast. Beware of the smell (not good, because of the old carpets). It's an old building and not meant for staying for holidays but fine if you stay one night because of a needed stop during a tour trough Italy. To Rome it takes about 25min by car. Also the service is very nice.
I am a little baffled by the glowing reviews of the Motel Corsi, but perhaps that just shows the range of expectations that different travelers have. To me, the best thing about the motel is the staff, especially Vincenzo, who were friendly and helpful. However, for us it was all downhill from there. I booked two rooms for our family of four (two adults, two teen-age girls) at the end of a two-week driving trip in northern Italy in order to have an afternoon and evening in Rome after returning the rental car and to catch an early-morning flight back to the United States. That part of the plan worked well. We dropped our bags in the two rooms and made the short (15 kilometers) and easy (highway all the way, but with a 2.40 euro toll) drive to the airport and the rental car drop-off. It was easy to catch a cab to downtown Rome (it's a set 48 euros with an official, white cab). At the end of the evening hours later it was a 45-euro cab ride from downtown back to the hotel. Now, the shortcomings. The building is dated and at least the two rooms that we had (39 and 36) are in serious need of renovation. For example, the wall-mounted toilet bowl in our room made an excruciating, loud noise when refilling. Moreover, it sprinkled water from the bowl over the toilet seat below (men, beware!). I agree with other reviews that the rooms are comfortably large with plenty of armoire space, as are the bathrooms (although the shower stalls are tight for American users) but the lighting is dark and the furnishings spartan (but everything was clean). The included WiFi worked well, but it appeared to be floor-specific and so didn't work elsewhere in the hotel without another account. As noted below, we did not have our expected opportunity to have the breakfast buffet (which we had included in our room price). I found the airport shuttle experience very frustrating. Vincenzo explained upon arrival that we could book the hotel's driver and car for 40 euros or, if he was not available, another service for 50 euros. (The hotel's card says simply "Shuttle Service," without specifying cost or conditions, so this appears to be an ongoing source of confusion for some travelers.) We agreed on an 0830 hrs departure for the next morning, although it was unclear which set-up would happen. However, when my wife and I came down to breakfast at 0715 hrs and just had ordered coffee/tea, Vincenzo hurried over to explain very apologetically that the hotel's driver could not accommodate an 0830 departure and asked whether we could not move up our departure to 0800. Not wanting to risk missing a firm chance to get to the airport, we agreed, but this generated much frenetic activity to get our daughters up and packed and ready within 45 minutes. So headed to the airport without coffee or breakfast, but the process itself went smoothly. I don't see enough in the motel to recommend it unless one is in a pinch.
We first stayed here about 8 years ago, and we stay here every trip to Italy. We just spent three delightful days in Rome and took the train back and forth each day. This family owned and operated hotel is a real bargain for the price. Nice to start the day with fresh coffee, made to order, and lovely fresh baked pastry items, as well as meats, cheeses, juices and fresh fruit. And only €5 for this nice buffet. The rooms and ensuite are large by Italian standards, everything is very clean and comfortable, and they constantly add updates and services to the property. WiFi works well and quickly. The staff is exceptional. They have lots of information about the area, they are friendly and welcoming, and if you have a request, they will work to get it for you. We look forward to another visit before our vacation comes to a close.
The motel has a great price and nice rooms. The only downside is the location is far from the city center. In our case, it was just a stop over on our return, and this motel was closer to the airport than others. There was also a very nice breakfast room with fresh pastries and coffee.
