You can also learn a thing or two while exploring Fez — just dive into the books at Médiathèque Municipale de Fès and ALC English Bookstore. The knowledge-filled halls and campus of Université Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah and Faculté des Sciences et Techniques and Faculté des Sciences may be worthy of a tour.

Riad Mazar Fes

Couldn't have picked a better spot in Fes

Five stars for this stay! What a calm, devine respite from the crazy Fes medina - it was bliss to return here after a busy day of sightseeing. Delicious (and big!) breakfast and dinner, beautiful room and common areas... we were very well taken care of!

Riad Arabesque

Most beautiful stay

Riad Arabesque was the absolute perfect Riad for our stay in Fez. It has access directly into the Medina from the ground floor, but also sits upon a hill so that you actually have an incredible view of the mountains and the medina itself from the terrace. It was a wonderful spot to be able to step away from the madness of the medina (since it is on the very edge) but also have access to all the activity. The Riad was beautiful, almost like a mosque inside. Incredible tiles, colors, fountains and interior detailing. The terrace for meals is charming and romantic (one of my favorite spots at the riad), and the inside area for dinner is decorated beautifully with Moroccan decor. All the staff were incredibly accommodating and so lovely. The dinner we had at the Riad one night was one of our favorite meals out of all the meals we had in Morocco. Everything about this place was wonderful. We will definitely be returning to Riad Arabesque for our next visit to Fez!

Riad Fes Maya

Superb friendly hospitality

The owner suleiman and his staff made usd feel like personal friends . It's a family atmosphere. Every thing about it was superb. That place is a museum of art. I very highly recommend it. It was far better than hotels I paid twice as much for.

Menzeh Zalagh

Comfortable for a short stay

I stayed for one night and was very satisfied. Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming, room was quiet, comfortable, and large. Air conditioning worked great. Breakfast included. Only downside was that you had to pay the hotel tax (20 dirhams - 2$) in cash upon leaving. I only had a 100 dirham bill and the girl at reception didn't have change, so she had to ask about 20 people for change before she could give me my change.
