The stay was good. Very clean hotel in a good part of town. Located near a nice mall and grocery store (Carrefour). The staff spoke English, French, Spanish, and Arabic well (my multilingual group was all happy with staff language abilities. The breakfast was great with lots of variety and fresh fruits and vegetables.

First, the hotel is comfortable, modern, with good food in a good location. Most of the time, that is all a traveler needs. But on this last trip, we needed more and the front desk staff showed that this is a very well run customer-oriented place. They were incredibly helpful - and we were, quite frankly, rather needy. The staff at the restaurant was also very good/

I travelled with my girlfriend and we stayed at Barcelo after a tour in the desert, so coming back to cleanliness and comfort was amazing. The hotel is clean, they speak english, spanish and french and service is very good. Of course you don't have the personality of local hotels, and neither the luxury of a 5 stars hotel, but it is well located and well priced for what u get. Parking facility available and rich breakfast with both local and international options. I would go back again.

This Hotel is located in center of everything Mall, Cinema, park and so on Nice big clean rooms and service is very good Has a very nice restaurant also with choices of Buffet or Menu and nice Bar Staffing is very good

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel Barcelo fes medina with my parents, and absolutely loved it, the hotel is new, clean, located in the new fes and close to old medina, each room is equipped with air conditioner, smart TV, coffee maker and a beautiful shower and a safe box, the most important thing in this hotel is the services, they absolutely have the best staff, they went out of their way to make this perfect 5 days for all of us, we highly recommend to you this incredible hotel if you are in FEZ and I would like to thank Mr mousa for his kindness and entire disposition

This hotel is located near a traditional American Style mall. If you need some basics, clothing, a bottle of wine or some beer, you could walk over to the mall. If you are a light sleeper or want to sleep with the window open, I would recommend a quieter room that does not face the street. You will more than likely need to take a taxi to the Fes Medina, which costs about 200 dirham or 2.00 U.S. Note: taxi's only accommodate 3 people maximum. The room was adequate, perhaps a little tired, but breakfast was plentiful with many options. Front desk personal were very helpful and pleasant.

I unfortunately stay several time per year due my job and each time (yes each time) I arrive in the room, something is broken, missing or dirty. Most of the times the laundry has hair in it, TV remote control or safety box doesn't work, carpet and or towels are missing. The room in general is dirty (have a look under the bed!) and when you go back to reception they are only professional to discharge responsibilities. Each stay in this hotel it's a true nightmare. Find another hotel or even better, another country.

Fabulously welcoming mid-century modern lobby and professional staff make this a great home base for your time in Fes. Located one block from the Carrefore mall which contains your basic mall-like stores, but also a mega supermarket where you can purchase useful Moroccoan souvenirs at super reasonable prices. There is also a liquor store nearby, which many of my fellow travelers found to be a large plus. Breakfast is plentiful and all main public areas appeared to be quite clean. The rooms were well designed (Moroccan chic) and did not smell of smoke (a major plus for this traveler). Complimentary water, as well as tea/coffee service were provided. I found the bed to be super hard, but my partner enjoyed it. The bathroom did show signs of normal hotel wear-and-tear, but nothing to complain about. Our tub's drain was plugged, which lead to a river leading into the hallway. It was 1:00AM and we did call reception; were told maitenance was not available, however within 10 minutes a stack of towels were delivered -- which was perfectly acceptable to us. We cannot personally attest to the spa services, but four of our traveling mates utililzed their services. One was thrilled and stated it was the best massage she had ever experienced, the other three wholly disaggreed, commenting that it was awkward; uncomfortable; and not customer-service oriented. The prices were so inexpensive, that if we visited again, I would still take the risk and try it! The pool was open in February, which was appreciated for these Northern dwellers. The restaurant staff was very friendly and courteous -- proactive in a high-end way. This hotel was part of our Gate 1 Tour, so I am not certain of its price, but it most definitely was a great value for us.

The hotel location being ideal and close to every center of interest is no longer a reason to stay at Barcelo. The hotel is aging and nothing seems to get renewed. From the beds to the towels and AC system. It looks like the management is letting it down. Business wise , they seem to be doing well though. the staff is friendly and willing to go beyond during the tiny breakfast, I mean not very creative, the same staff over and over. The hotel needs a real lifting.

It is easy to get around the City from this hotel. We were very happy to see that there was no smoking in the rooms. You need to get used to smoking in Morocco (even in the finest of hotels and restaurants). The staff was very friendly, our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast every morning was nicely presented and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner. We were travelling with a tour group and were very satisfied.
