I have stayed at this location twice now, about three years apart. Overall it is a nice place to stay and convenient to reach if you are in the Flint/Fenton area. I booked a king bed room for one night this past Friday. The room overall was clean as was the bathroom but it was starting to look tired and worn. In the shower/tub area, the grout is discolored in many areas with some looking black either due to a beginning mold problem or just iron in the water. The pipe for the shower head coming out of the wall was completely loose. The baseboards in the bathroom were also stained and some looked either rusted out or on their way. My husband had the the breakfast and he said the eggs looked to be that reconstituted powdered product and had very little flavor. He did have the honeydew melon which he said was flavorful but for the rest of the breakfast offerings, he pretty much passed them up. He's not a picky eater. The bed was clean but rather uncomfortable for me. I am more accustomed to a medium firm mattress and this one was a soft but really firm setup. I normally like the mattress firmness across the various Marriott properties I have stayed at but this one was different. I can't point exactly what it was but I woke up with a slight backache and I normally do not have them.
The room is clean, very spacious. I like thst the windows actually open. Front desk staff are friendly. The bed is comfortable. I just wished the guide on the tv worked. Pool area is nice. The hotel also has laundry facilities gurst can use. Close to shopping and restaurants.
We've stayed at this hotel a few times in the past five or so years. The quality seems to be decreasing. Rooms not being cleaned, slow drains, mediocre breakfast. Management resolved some issues but not others.
Needed a late night layover and called ahead, the availability was open for a suite. I took advantage of the roominess and comfort as I had just driven 14 hours of the last 36 hours. The room was nice because you didn't have temperature fluctuations that kept waking you up. Not very easy to enter this place though, you have to wind around to get in.
Very nice stay! My mom and I decided to spend the night after seeing at show at the Whiting in Flint. The hotel was very clean and the front desk staff (I believe his name was Kenny) was extremely friendly and welcoming. They offer a small pool and gym as well as a large area for their complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was your normal hotel breakfast.... some type of eggs, a sausage like product, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc. My mom ended up having some of the fruit which she said was horrible. The bright green color of the honeydew scared me so I skipped it. The room was very nice with two beds, TV, and a large bathroom with great water temp and pressure. The mattress was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I asked the person at the desk the next morning if I could take it home. Overall, it was a great stay. It's close to the highway and plenty of restaurants. I'd recommend if you are looking for a nice place in the Fenton/Flint area!
Clean, comfortable and close to restaurants and other things to do. Leo's Coney Island is my favorite place for breakfast...terrific bacon and cheese omelets! The hotel does offer breakfast too which is especially good for hungry kiddos.
I stayed here after picking a friend up at the airport, and found it to be a very nice stay. The front desk staff was friendly and check in was quick. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well. There are a number of restaurants within driving distance.
We were given an accessible room because we wanted to be on the first floor to keep an eye on some kayaks we had on the top of the car. It was not the nicest or cleanest room I have ever been in. Not sure if this was because it was not used often and therefore not cleaned regularly or not. Otherwise the stay was fine - breakfast was nothing special and staff was efficient and proficient if not especially friendly. We did not have any issues with noise and were facing the front parking lot on the first floor.
This hotel is located right off U S Highway 23, and is clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Spacious lobby and breakfast area, king bed was very comfortable, large, flat-screen TV, and one of the best shower heads I've ever experienced! Typical hot breakfast, with runny scrambled eggs & rubbery sausage sitting in a quarter-inch of hot water, bagels, toast, cereal, etc. Guests should be aware that there are no mini-fridges or microwaves in guest rooms. Overall, for $94/night, not a bad hotel for a night or two.
Check in process was great, they even upgraded our room to a suite, since we requested and are a Marriott Gold member. Room, was fair, a bit older, not super clean, just fair. Shower tub was not draining hardly at all, made it really gross, to step in after my husband took his shower, with soap scum etc. had to wipe out the bath tub floor each time. Breakfast was fair.
