For the price we paid it was really good. Clean, spacious. Pool was nice with jacuzzi and sauna. Changing rooms clean and warm. We had do not disturb on our room and housekeeping still left extra coffee and milk and stuff hanging on our door. The breakfast has a good choice, some of the sausages were over done one day but coffee was nice. On our last day which was a Monday we came down too late for breakfast not realising it finished earlier on a weekday. We sat and had some toast and croissants and a minute later the waitress, knowing we were disappointed came out with a full English breakfast for each of us. Great service!! Thanks to that waitress and the chefs xx
Like always, staff were very friendly and helpful. All the informations were provided from reception when we check-in . Facilities The Health Club which is in the hotel and is easy to access. See you soon ! :) Well done to all the team .
We stayed a Saturday night, double room, clean and tidy. The staff on reception, in the bar and the cleaners were all friendly. Breakfast, there wasn't a great deal left when we got there within the time but with 15 minutes to go and no one was rushing to replace anything, out of juice and water as well and they only replenished the water when asked. We left around mid-day and realised as soon as we got in around 8pm that night that we realised we had left both Iphone chargers in the room. I called the hotel straight away, no sign of our chargers being handed in. Put it this way, we won't be rushing back.
Friendly welcome but very basic dated rooms and decor. Restaurant has no atmosphere and food wasn’t good. Very average, location is good for the motorway network if you don’t expect too much. Plenty of free parking which was good.
We arrived late, and had to walk past every single room on the floor. When we got to the room it was single beds, we'd ordered a king. And when I put my bag on the bad stand, the iron which was attached to the ironing board, leaked all over my bag. The water pressure is too low to wash your hair properly as well. Really disappointed. Breakfast was okay.
The good parts; I booked relatively late and got a half decent room rate including breakfast. Also, the staff were friendly and there seemed to be a decent amount of car parking, even if you turned up late. The other parts; The room was dated, the bed wasn't comfy, the TV was small, the bathroom was extremely worn and the shower rail was covered in rust. Food; I want did a walk to see if there was any place to eat around, but only stumbled on a drab pub down the road that didn't look like it would do food. So I went back into the hotel restaurant. It wasn't busy, and I got a table easy. A good few options on the menu. Everything overpriced. I had a curry and rice £14.50 and chips £3.50. It was ok, but it wasn't a big meal, and the chips were about 20 in total.... for £3.50. Frozen chips, maybe amounted to 50p worth. I think the hotel knows you are a captive audience. The adjacent bar dies food, but when I went in, it was like a sitting room, with guys lounged across the couches. The bar wasn't very inviting. The breakfast wasn't too bad. Decent ingredients, I went in at 6.50 only to be told breakfast didn't start till 7. Obviously this wasn't mentioned to me on check in.
Myself and 14 work colleagues booked and attended our xmas party here, excellent value for money, great friendly service and will definitely be looking to book again for next year. Well organised and professional hotel.
We have stayed at many hotels in the Harlow area and this was by far the poorest that we have experienced.....in many ways e.g. after we booked we were told we couldn't book an evening meal as the restaurant was closed !!! When we booked in (eventually - there was nobody in reception and eventually someone from the kitchen went to find the person supposed to be on duty) we mentioned how disappointed we were to have to had booked somewhere off site to eat - and he assured us the restaurant was actually open......whilst he handed us a piece of paper saying the restaurant was closed !!. Then room was very "tired", showed signs of (previous) unrepaired damage, 2 lights not working and it hadn't been "pre-heated". The breakfast was very basic but just about OK. Overall whilst this is the closest hotel to the relatives we visit, we will not be returning to the Radisson
I stay at this hotel quite regularly. No, it is not luxury, but it certainly is not the "dump" some reviews claim it to be. Actually, it is a practical, business orientated property located just off the M11 and about 35 minutes drive (traffic permitting) to Canary Wharf. Rooms are clean, warm, comfortable, and offer everything one needs if on the road. Parking is free, there is a decent health club, and a BP Marks and Spencer is 2 minutes drive away! The room rate always appears reasonable for a property so near to London. One thing to note is that the property is very large, so ask for a room nearer to reception if walking to a room is an issue for you. I am not shy in being critical of a hotel if need be (see my other reviews) but this property makes an effort in a very unpretentious manner! Well done!
This was my 5th visit over the years going to the hotel for New Year’s Eve. Starting at the hotel the reception was friendly and efficient and was checked in with room key in hand in minutes. The room is basic but quite big and clean with a tv and the basic tea and coffees included. The bed was comfortable and the heating in the room was lovely. The New Years celebration has changed a lot this year with the drinks no longer included but a roast dinner provided rather than the normal finger food. The last time I went was about 2 years ago and the amount of people was drastic change about 1/4. It seemed more like a oap night than anything which is not bad as I was with my mother and in laws but even they were young compared to the the other guests. The music was good but not dancing music and the atmosphere was poor. Still made the best of the night and enjoyed ourselves but will certainly be the last time I go there for New Years. Not worth the money charged this year
