We have been here before and had problems but thought we would give it another go. Still not a lot better. Food and drink is very overpriced and as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you do not have the option of going out. We probably will not return.

Amazing hotel, we were there for a wedding and it was spectacular Only gripe I had was my room was extremely hot even with the Dyson fan on and windows open and was incredibly uncomfortable getting ready so avoid room 116 in summer times !

Property doesn't have a pool. The service was particularly bad. We were given cups with lipstick marks and espresso cups spilled with coffee. The hospitality was cold and rude at multiple times for even innocuous questions. The rooms were way too warm - would not recommend.

An Enjoyable and Comfortable Stay

Down Hall was a truely beautiful hotel, very elegant and picturesque, the grounds were amazing, the hotel room was very spacious maybe the ventilation could be a litte better, but I was provided with a Fan so this aspect was addressed. Staff were very helpful throuhout my stay, and I was provided with everything I needed.

Nice hotel but shame the

A word of warning, this hotel has no air-con and is VERY hot - my room was 36c, the windows opened about 10cm and they couldn't switch my room or move me anywhere, should've researched it myself more. Staff wouldn't do anything to rectify the issue other than provide more fans. Think if you stayed in a chain hotel you'd be at least given some kind of compensation, it doesn't have to be much but a gesture brings the situation under control. Nothing was offered.

Hi the soa was amazing rhe staff make you fill so relaxed. They are so friendly and helpful nothing to much. The hotel staff are so nice helpful and friendly. But the suite i booked for one night did not meet expectations. Considering the room was £386 for the night it had broken old furniture that looked very old and full of dust. Would no expect that in such a high class suit. The balcony railings where full off cobwebs where not been cleaned in a very long time. Not up to the standard it should be at all its was shocking to see in such a expensive suit. But the bathroom was amazing very clean and done to a very high speck

Perfect birthday treat

Our stay was for my partner’s birthday I made a special request in the booking that there were red&white roses in the room when we got there. And there they were in a beautiful room with a little birthday cake it was a perfect couple of days. Food was delicious in the garden room and everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful
