Breakfast was cold, in certain areas the carpets are worn and dangerous, the room had damaged furniture, holes in the curtain nets, etc. The rear unattended side door appeared to be left open all night so anyone could enter the hotel. Expedia has been passed photo's. It is a shame that the hotel appears uncared for, as it is in a lovely location and from the outside looks nice.

Nice clean comfortable rooms, excellent gym. Food not bad either. Lacking atmosphere and room was very hot, window didn’t open very well but for the price it was excellent.

Door lock didn’t work, eventually got into room after receptionists third attempt. TV not working so moved to another room. Mattress stained behind belief, absolutely filthy. Dried toothpaste spit all over counter top in bathroom. Beds and pillows extremely bad quality. Never again

The hotel offers so much but delivers so little. Food was ok but limited choice. The eton mess was devine though. We had to change room 106 after the first night due to lighting issues, switches not working, bathroom flood after a shower and a terrible bed. The new room 319 was much better but had a dodgy loo seat which was reported to staff, but nothing was done to my knowledge. Staff were all very young but cheerful and eager to please. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special, when i ordered some poach eggs they arrived quickly but were like all the breakfast food lukewarm if that. We put the breakfast sign on our door the Monday night and was still there the next morning.... we put the sign out about 9pm. Room was clean, but the loo did smell and bathroom floor did have a couple of bits on the floor. So not very well swept. Bed was a lot better than the previous room.

Great gym but dated deco

Good gym facility, pool and spa. Hotel itself was dated and not as clean as expected (dirty towels, dusty lightshade). Main problem was the very old decoration in the room (standard), but was told they have more modern rooms at higher rate. The room rate was very good for what it was, if the cleanliness was better will be a much better experience.

The service was great but the hotels is very run down and needs a lot of work. My room was nice and big but there was some kind of boiler or water system that was making a noise every 2 mins. The newer part of the hotel is better but the old building needs a complete revamp

Great hotel if staff were better trained.

Would be a great hotel if the staff could be bothered to help the guests. Blank looks when asking for simple things like a steam room for the iron or something simple like honey at breakfast.
