Overall, we had a nice stay, but for the price, we expected more comfort and attention to detail. The beds, pillows, and bedding were not very comfortable — after three nights, I joked that they should offer in-room massage services to help with the kink in my neck from the rock-hard pillows. The room itself felt a bit run down. The door to the master bedroom wouldn’t close properly, and the ceiling fan didn’t work. Small maintenance issues like that made it feel less polished than we’d hoped. We also noticed the amenities were portioned very conservatively. For example, with four people in our room, we only received enough coffee to make one small 16 oz pot. A few simple upgrades — softer bedding, working fixtures, and more generous amenities — would make a big difference in the overall experience.

I appreciate this is a “historical” property and Fall is a high demand time in the Door, but the size of the room was, in my opinion, very disproportionate to the price we paid.

Room was small and clean, very nice place but there was no ac thermostat in the room and A/c was centrally controlled on the hallway by the staff, i am not sure if thar was just this room or all of them. Also make sure you read towel and room clesning policy and the way to request that, because otherwise they will not do it during your stay.

Wonderful Inn

We had a very nice room with a comfortable bed and nice hot shower. We enjoyed the coffee they offered in the morning and the sweets and lemonade in the afternoon. The Inn is within walking distance of restaurants and shops in Ephraim.

Great location

Great location. Cute property. Afternoon lemonade and cookies at check-in was a nice treat! Bathroom was very small with toilet and shower in one tiny room and sink in main bedroom area. Bed was comfy, but on a wooden four-post frame which creaked so loudly at every slight move. Really liked this place, but would not stay in “Augusta” room again. And 10 am checkout was a bit of a surprise.

This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in in Door County. Located in Ephraim, this hotel has tremendous charm. The property is splendid, very well-maintained, and very clean! The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. We plan on staying there again in the near future!
