Not bad for an older motel but it was very hot and took a long time to cool down. Only one outlet available in the whole room and the shower was moldy. Otherwise everything else was fine.

Meh, close to where I needed to be, cheap.

Dumpy little place near the tracks. Perfect location for my visit, you could do worse reasonable cost, great parking/motel. Wifi worthless, could be really nice with a bit of remodeling.

Bedbug or Cockroach?

To be honest we didn’t stay there we only lasted like 2 hours. The reason why is because we found a bed bug. Ones told the owners they said it was a cockroach that are usually around and go up the bed. Still wasn’t convinced so we just left.

As I booked there for the economic price, the man asked for the deposit for the night, which is normal, he said it was refundable and the morning of checkout I asked for it and he said it was taxes for the rooms. I paid the rooms and taxes prior to getting there. If I would have known I was going to end up spending more than what I accounted for I would have reconsidered where to stay. As for the property it has good parking but the rooms appear outdated, it does the job, it permits you to sleep but the restroom had a bad smell.

Do not stay in this place

There was no hot water in the shower, the owner came and showed me hot water in room next door, but our room none. I asked please give us that room, he said in the morning. Next day we went out, and returned about 12pm and the owner said no other room. The room was good he said, he said give heater time to heat water. We ran the water for about 10 minutes. I left the hotel and went somewhere else. I have been using this service for years and I want to be treated with respect. This hotel should not be part of Hotels.com list because of poor customer service. All he wanted was more money. You get what you pay for, I was told, but these are basics you need, especially in the middle of winter. I've many other hotels that accommodate me with no problem. The pictures I share show an empty hotel, and room #2 next to mine had really hot water and the owner did not give it to us.

Sands Motel in El Paso TX backs up to a large oil refinery, look at it on a satellite map. My room had a filthy stained couch, torn carpets and hair in sheets. Desk staff were polite about everything, but this motel is cheapest and has a no-refund policy for reasons, Exterior looks fine.

Overall, I did not care for my stay at this location. It took me about 5 minutes of waiting at the front desk in order to get some help. I could hear that there was someone else in the back working, but I could never get that person’s attention. However, when I got ready to walk to my car to try to look up the motel phone number to call the front desk, the front desk attendant finally came in the office to the front desk. Once we arrived at our room and opened the door, we quickly saw that the room was very outdated and worn. The bathroom looked like it had not been updated since the 1960's and the room did not look anywhere near as nice as the online photos of this motel. Plus instead of a sofa in our room, the room had a 2nd or 3rd row “car seat” to sit on. Yet as that old saying goes “You get what you pay for.”. Though the rate was good, we only planned to stay there for about 10 hours since we were only stopping for the night to get a good night sleep (after driving for about 11 hours that day), so we could wake up rested very early the next morning and finish the second part of another 11 hour drive.

First thing is that at check in I really couldn’t understand the person in the office.so it was hard to check in.second thing was the room. It had a foul smell I slept in the room so I got use to it but it should have been like that.the sheet were dirty had stain same as the mattress.hairs on pillows from previous guess. The bathroom was decent but didn’t use it because I didn’t trust it. I did get some of my deposit back but only 20 they took 30 . So minus 10 dollars back I don’t know why. I don’t recommend this hotel/motel.
