Extended Stay America - El Paso - West2.5 out of 5.0

I'm not usually one to stay in a hotel for less than $100 but I know someone who stayed at the Extended Stay American West location in El Paso for months so I figured I'd try it. For less than $70/night I got a clean room that was remodeled a year ago, nice carpet, bathroom fixtures, A/C in excellent working order. I loved the full kitchenette, with all the dishes, standard small and large applicances, not just a microwave and coffee pot. The west side location is near grocery stores, a movie theater and tons of great restaurants. There is a laundry room on site, and a pool. After spending one week at this Extended Stay America I can say I got more than my money's worth and am sold on their value. I look forward to another stay in the future to try out other Extended Stay locations.
I really liked the place, it has more that I was expecting, confortable, big, a mini suite basically, it really felt like staying home, it's a really nice option for a getaway entire weekend with friends or couples :)
Visiting El Paso in July was a concern when I had to make a medical appointment. It was so nice to find Extended Stay America with a lovely, comfortable room, nice kitchen, great service and cleanliness. And yes, I was in the pool at least once a day.
Property was immaculate inside and out. Daytime front desk was outstanding, evening desk left a lot to be desired. There is no maid service or maintenance on weekends, so if something happens you are stuck until the day person gets in. Pool closes early (9pm), especially for a city with daytime temps over 100. It was very clean, though. Kitchen had a full size refrigerator/freezer, but was short on equipment and a coffee pot was not immediately available. The kitchen equipment was clean, and so was the coffee pot. No toaster, though. Grab and go breakfast was only granola bars, muffins, instant oatmeal, coffee, Sanka, hot chocolate, and black tea (no decaf). There was a sign requesting that you take only one item per person. Overall, not my best experience and one I am not likely to repeat at this location.
Front desk staff needs a dose of professionalism. This unfriendly unwelcoming experience has turned me off to extended stay hotels... it was that bad. I was inclined to record the open "private" conversation front desk women were having as I waited to be checked in They seemed to be annoyed with their jobs.
This is a very clean hotel, comfortable, and in a great location. Staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the A/C gave out the second night. Front desk was unwilling to move me to a new room even though it would take two days to fix the A/C. The temperature outside was 101, so this was unacceptable.
I stayed here for 3 months and found it great. It is an older building, but is kept up with pride. The people who work there are dedicated to keeping their customers happy and safe. The place is close to most things you may need, even within walking distance. And I had no fear of walking around the area. I paid for the better internet connection and was well worth it, for little cost. Maria, Mandy, Guillermo, and Javier were all top notch at customer service. It was an easy-going atmosphere that set me at ease.
This place is very nice with clean rooms. The maid service was always on hand employees were always in a good mood and that you don't see too often I would stay here and tell anyone who is looking for a hotel so many places to eat in the area shopping malls the casino amusement parks the middle of it all. I was on business trip and had no noise. Again, I would come back.
I booked here thinking I just needed a place for the night. But when I arrived I was immediately impressed. The area is nice and walking distance within a grocery store, convenient store, and places to eat. Also there's a laser tag place next door. (I love laser tag) When I got to my room I was absolutely floored. It looked amazing. My only regret is that I didn't get to stay longer. Further more the staff is very friendly. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.
Staff are easy to work with and have a good sense of humor. I was on a budget and had to keep what I spent under a certain amount. They worked with me to keep my daily budget under that amount. Right off Montana made this place an easy choice.
