Comfortable and friendly place to stay. The rooms are neat and well decorated. There are nice amenities, often linked to local businesses, so it's an invitation to explore the town a bit more. Hostess was very attentive and accommodating.

This is a fabulous place to stay right in downtown Casey near all of the big things like the world's largest rocking chair and wind chimes. The 1890 building has been beautifully restored, with all the original brick and wood walls and floors back in their original condition. While it is not a bed and breakfast, the room rate includes breakfast at your choice of two very good downtown cafes.

This was an amazing find! You have to be able to walk up a steep set of stairs, but it was such a unique place to stay. Not your usual hotel. It was beautifully done. We had complimentary chocolates in our room that were to die for!! It was located downtown which was just where we wanted to be. We could walk everywhere. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

The room (201) had great ambience and welcome conveniences (kitchen cabinets, sink, microwave, frig, and lots of electric outlets). The clever way the elevator was added allowed the hotel to maintain its 1890s vibe and still offer convenience for those like my husband who cannot handle stairs. Everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. (That was true for the whole town of Casey.) Overall, it was a wonderful stay (2 nights in late April 2019). (If you have the opportunity during your stay, ask Kim about the whole purchase/renovation experience. Great story!)

I found this hotel on "Only in Your State" website in addition to the town of Casey, Illinois. My daughter, husband, and I did an overnight trip to this gem in central Illinois. We absolutely LOVED the hotel. Not only is it very historic, but the owners did a fantastic job in renovating the rooms to modern day standards with some fun twists. For example, we stayed in a Harry Potter-themed room and surprised my daughter. So cool, a loft with an iron spiral staircase! The beds were super comfy, the bathroom had a rain shower, and the pillows/bed linens were wonderful. Can't say enough good things about this hotel! Lastly, the owners were very accommodating and friendly to work with; we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks for a great overnight stay!

We found this place online searching for a Bed and Breakfast in the general area. It was a great place to stay! The restoration of this historic building was beautiful with attention to the details of making it very comfortable. The rain shower was wonderful! The breakfast voucher for the Whitling Wimsy more than paid for a very good breakfast. We would highly recommend this gem of a sleepover!

We stayed overnight in early November 2018. Kimberly was in contact both before and during the trip. Bobbie was there to meet us and explained everything to us. Walked/took elevator up to our room with us and pointed out how things worked. She even offered to help with our bags. The room was amazing. We were in a 3rd floor loft room - king, daybed, twin beds. The elevator only goes to the second floor and my 79-year old Mother had no problems with the stairs to the third floor. The room was large and very, very comfortable with all the modern conveniences. Loved the hardwood floors and old doors with the modern locks. My only complaint is that we only had one night there on our trip.

Absolutely loved by our family, and truly amazing what they've done with this renovated space. Along with that, the service from Kim and Bobbie was awesome. Thanks again for a great stay and appreciate your hospitality.

Our 2x double bed room was gorgeous!! I new it looked lovely in the photos but in person it was just breathtaking! Unfortunately I never got to meet the owner, Kim, as we were a late check-in and early check-out but the young lady who helped us was very friendly and so helpful. We were only in Casey for one night, took a 2hr detour off our Route 66 trip to see all of the World's Largest and "Really Big" items and Casey is such a cute town and the people we came across were so friendly & charming. I do hope to visit again some day but in the meantime I'll be spreading the word about Casey, IL and this lovely hotel to many others.

Wonderful stay at the 1890 Sleepover this week. We were in Casey for a family funeral and staying here made a sad time very special. Kim is a fantastic hostess--always a smile on her face, thinks of everything and genuinely wants to know what could be done to make your stay better. Our room (#202) was very spacious, bed & pillows were very comfy, lots of towels (ohhh, so soft!) and the entire space was super clean. We'll be back for sure!
