This hotel truly rocks. You really can't argue with location, and value. Free breakfast. Free wine hour. Great staff. Excellent valet parking at a steal of a deal. I have stayed at big hotel chains and experienced less. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We have said at the Varscona Hotel--the sister hotel of Metterra. Both are excellent hotels, but the Metterra is slightly better. It's principal assets are the location on Whyte Ave in Edmonton, it's excellent complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese tasting, and its friendly staff. The cons are an absolutely screwy valet parking. It is often impossible to find a space in front of the hotel to temporarily park. The valet retrieval is highly variable. We finally gave up and parked ourselves three blocks a way. That would be very unpleasant in a couple of months when the temperatures dropped to minus 30.

great location. great free hot breakfast. pet friendly.

With Metterra, your stay is sure to rank up there with the 5 star hotel experience. From the friendly, accommodating staff, to the free valet, parking, breakfasts and evening wine tasting, this hotel delivers! The rooms are beautiful, with very comfortable beds and all the amenities including a bar. Make no mistake, this is where you want to stay whether you're in Edmonton for pleasure or business. The location is fabulous- old Strathcona is a vibrant, growing area that draws a crowd.

The hotel can't be in a better location, plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and unique stores. The staff was friendly, breakfast is included, enough variety to find something you will enjoy. Because the hotel is on Whyte Avenue, you may hear noise on the weekend but they do give you ear plugs. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the espresso machine on the second floor, I had 2 cups of cappuccino everyday! I will certainly stay here again.

This boutique hotel exceeded expectations. Great amenities, helpful staff, overall wonderful stay.

It simply doesn't get any better... this hotel is top notch with outstanding rooms, service and complimentary breakfast and wine tasting evenings. Don't stay anywhere else, the location is fabulous.

Great rooms, good happy hour, attentive staff. This was the best hotel of our trip to Calgary, Edmonton, and the Canadian Rockies.

Focus on business hotel guests rather than the vacationing couples...room makes only received for 1 day out of three....great valet car service. Location is great on whyte ave., but a hot tub would be great in the winter months...

included with my stay was breakfast they easily could charge $15.00 per person for.

The breakfast is great and the location is perfect to try different restaurants.

I was pleased with the staff and how clean the room was. The location is great and loved the area on Whyte Ave.

This was a wonderful experiance, the rooms were so modern and comfortable. I was very impressed with the fitness and swimming pool area being open for 24 hours. Very curtious staff and helpful with directions and things to do in Edmonton. I would recommend this hotel to any one.

Hello Andrew, Thank you for your feedback. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed our service and complementary amenities. We unfortunately do not have a parking lot directly attached so we offer valet service and self parking at the Varscona hotel which is 1 1/2 blocks away. We also have a gravel parking lot for self parking 1/2 block across Whyte Ave. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience you incurred and I do hope that you will consider us for a future stay. - Olaf, General Manager
