Bed bugs spotted and was very incovinient with kids. Didnt see anyone did anything with it. One of the couple walked in breakfast room at 9.55 and they bluntly said it's over
Stayed for five nights - was okay. Breakfast was nice - had real china not paper. Room wasn't cleaned one night and after a bit of talking was given 20% off for that night. Towels were tattered and was told the management was 'working on it'. WiFi was spotty/weak.
We stayed here because it's a stone's throw from the Atlantic Trap and Gill where my hubby was playing a gig. It needs a little love (scraped off paint in a few places in the room) but overall was good enough for a place to sleep and shower. Bed was comfortable but light bedding and no extra blankets in room. Was really impressed with the quality of the sheets; they were nice and soft, not stiff and starchy-feeling like hotels at this price point usually have. Pillows fine. Nice and close to Whyte Ave but didn't hear any noise from the Blues Block Party. Continental breakfast was average, typical for this type of hotel. Wished the boiled eggs were warm instead of cold but that's a personal preference. Coffee pretty awful but that's minor. Good parking and fenced in. Hubby said there was a security guard in the lobby when he returned late at night- that's a nice touch. WIFI wasn't great so I just used my data for more speed.
I stayed here for business, so I was really only in my room in the evenings - so be warned if this is for a vacation that there is no pool or attached restaurant. But it was much better than I was expecting for the price! Clean, functional room, with very comfy beds and pillows (the sheets were really soft!). There is a very efficient and fairly quiet air conditioner and the windows open. It comes with a mini fridge and microwave at no extra charge, and I feel that is becoming rare. A few little scuffs on the walls mars on the bathtub and such, but nothing that affected my stay. The continental breakfast was pretty decent, and apparently there is a barbecue for guest use (although I did not do that). My only (and it's minor) complaint is that the housekeeping was a little inconsistent - some days we didn't get more coffee cups and stuff like that. The only one that concerns me a little is that I THINK someone refolded dried towels and put them back on the rack. All week long we hung our towels to dry and then thought they'd been replaced - but on the last day the one on the rack had a rip in exactly the same place as the one I used last night. I don't mind re-using towels - that's why I hung them - but I like to know "who" used them and "for what" if you take my meaning. I'm not sure that is what happened, the identical rip may have been a coincidence. I hope so anyway as it makes me feel a little "ick' that I might have been drying my hair with a towel my room mate used for her feet.... LOL
I surely had a good stay. The front desk lady Lai is very nice friendly and helpful. Thank you Lai. I would come back and stay here again. This is a nice location quiet , clean. Walking distance to whyte Ave. Close to university Hospital.
We selected the Days Inn Edmonton South because the location was close to the U of A Hospital. We were pleasantly surprised on how clean our room was as we were there for a week with our father undergoing surgery. The staff was always very courteous. The breakfast was a really nice touch too. Thank you so much
Great staff, bed looked like the sheets weren't changed as they we're still wrinkled from the last people, bathtub had hair in it.
My husband was in university hospital for weeks I stayed at this hotel ,the staff were so friendly and concerned. and a staff named Lai was like family always very kind ,friendly and concerned about me and my family,I would absolutely stay here on my next trip to Edmonton ...thank you days inn .very comfortable stay .
Hi, when we travel to Edmonton for Medical appointments this is where we stay, the hotel is clean, nice rooms, staff are very friendly and they let us leave our vehicle there while we attend appointments the day we are checking out. They even call us a cab in the morning.
I never write reviews. I'm sitting in my car writing a review after downloading trip advisor using the days inn's wifi. First time ever. Lai is the best! I showed up after midnight exhausted and tired and frustrated with Expedia because they wouldn't let me book a room for that night (pass midnight). Lai truly helped me, made me feel like I was returning home. Kudos to her, a reflection of the hotels management and the whole corporation. I despise company loyalty programs... if you want my business give me the best value on the market. Lai's performance, the cleanliness, the comfort and price have made me a loyal customer and I signed up for the program. I even researched the parent company. I hope someone reads this. Sincerely GCD
