I went by car to this hotel and the place is very Handy with a nice supermarket right next to it, the place is pretty and very quiet which allows you to rest well. it is a short trip away from old town in edinburgh. The apartment is very comfortable and the staff helps you a lot even before arriving.
Every thing great, nice view, great location, very quite, grocery store near by. Only issue was the wifi, terrible service for the first 2 nights, got better on the third night.
Was very clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful and always made sure we had everything we needed.
I was in an extended business trip and needed an apartment for a Month. The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The staff were very helpful and made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
This place took our breath away. We were located in the "penthouse" on the 7th floor with super view of the harbour and brand new modern furniture. The spacious open plan kitchen, lounge, dining room and study is to dream for. The undercover basement parking is an added bonus. If ever we visit Edinburgh again, we will definately stay here again.
good location, very quiet, convenient to center of Edinburgh
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms where comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely stay there again when I am back. May go back in the spring. Only draw back is location. It is some what difficult to find if you do not know the area. Even the locals had a hard time telling me where the hotel was located. (They were very friendly and try to help)
We loved staying at the Ocean Apartments which gave us plenty of room for three grown adults. The view was wonderful, we looked out towards the city and right across from us was the Royal Yacht Britannia. The bus was convenient (#10) to take to Princes street, or we could switch to a variety of other buses (or walk about 15 minutes) to get to other points of the city (the 35 went right up Royal Mile). We used the kitchen everyday and the wifi. Tried to use the washer/dryer, but it is definitely different than the U.S. and ours gave us errors. Depending on how much cooking you do, or how many toiletries you need, you'll probably have to do some shopping, but the ASDA is nearby and we found a "Poundland" (Dollar store) where you could get toiletries and kitchen items for low cost (like measuring cups). The only real problem we had was the errors with the washer/dryer. The apartment staff said they would dry our towels and bring them back, but we didn't get them. It was not too big of an inconvenience, since we had also brought towels. All and all, I would definitely recommend the apartments especially if you are staying for a while. You can get a RIDACARD for the lothian buses that will take you to a variety of places. Nearby are several restaurants within walking distance or a short ride on the bus. The buses run late, so we were able to enjoy ourselves in the city all day. And the staff was great and helpful. An the Leith neighborhood was fun to walk through.
Good value for the price because one has a fully-equipped flat for the cost of a hotel room. Lovely location by the sea. Bus terminus nearby for service into the center of Edinburgh. ASDA supermarket and Ocean Terminal mall a short drive away (but walkable if you want the exercise). Free computers in lobby and WiFi access in rooms. Free underground parking. Leslie was very pleasant, obliging and cooperative when I phoned to express preferences about the location of the flat. This was our second stay. We would return on our next visit to Edinburgh and recommend the lodging to others, assuming that the company keeps its tariff low.
