Red Roof Inn & Suites Statesboro - University

Hard mattress

Got taken care by staff after an orbitz screw up. The staff took care of me without getting the owner involved.

Edenfield House

Perfect Experience

We came here to clear our minds after a personal tragedy, and Aaron and Miranda were just what we needed. The Edenfield House is more beautiful than any photos can do justice, you simply must stay to see it. Each area of the B&B provides a charm that I was sure had been lost many decades before I was born. It is less like stepping into another place in time, and more like stepping into a totally different life during your stay. The friendliness of both staff and other guests is unmatched in the hotel industry, I am afraid Aaron and Miranda have utterly ruined me, I will be forced to seek out a B&B in all my travels now.

Days Inn by Wyndham Dublin GA

Great overnight

Nothing fancy. Great after a long drive, sleeping overnight, and hitting the road again. Staff was very friendly!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites I-16

Probably the best option in Dublin

We were in town for a softball tournament, and this hotel is very close to the interstate and dining options, and is about a mile from the softball/baseball complex. Check-in was quick and painless. The reception folks did send us to the wrong room, and I only caught this because I looked ta the room number on the sign-in forms and went straight there instead of to the room that was printed on the little folder they put the room keys in. I went to the "wrong" room, and the keys worked, but it was the wrong type of room. The front desk fixed it quickly, and we were all set. The room itself was nice. Comfortable (firm, which I like) king-sized bed and a fold-out couch for our daughter. Air condition worked well. Wi-fi was also okay (tested at 12 Mbps down). The king suite also had a modest wet bar with mini-fridge and cabinets if you were staying for a while. There was an en-suite Keurig machine which we did not fire up. The bathroom was fine, but the shower, equipped with those ridiculous water saving shower nozzles, made a horrible banshee-like screeching. Water was plenty hot, though, so a reasonable trade-off. Elevator was agonizingly slow for a three-story structure. We didn't even look at the swimming pool. The free breakfast was the standard fare you find at all the chain hotels. Reconstituted eggs, barely edible bacon and turkey sausage. Soggy pancakes. We stuck to fruit, yogurt, and cereal.
