Kilronan House

Good location, friendly but very basic especially single rooms. Breakfast served and near to Stephan Green in 5 minutes. But obviosly for the price you pay and location its an okay deal. Five minutes walk to Conrad or Clayton Hotel.

I have been staying at Kilronan House since the 1980s, and when I walk in the front door it always feels like coming home. The staff is welcoming and attentive; the rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed, and the location is excellent. Every stay brings back dozens of memories. And did I mention the great breakfasts? When I leave I am already looking forward to returning.

We stayed here just the one night in the 2nd house owned by hotel. In top floor room which is 60 steps up. Decor could most definitely do with updating. Room had basic facilities as we were heading out for the night this didn’t bother me too much. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, small compact bathroom. Replacing half used complimentary toiletries would have been nice! Comfortable bed, then those dreaded stairs again! Breakfast was lovely, good choice on menu. Friendly helpful staff. Free parking most definitely an added bonus in Dublin. Be aware that staff park your car and keys are left with them overnight. Short stay, for us a great price at e69 including breakfast.

I booked one night in advance before leaving Australia and was so happy with Kilronan House that I Returned a week later at the end of my stay in Ireland. Great location, very helpful staff. After travelling from the US I was so glad to get a good cup of tea. Breakfast is amazing.

Arrived late and was upgraded to a room with ensuite which was nice. Great central location close to city centre and all facilities. Walkable from St Stephens Green. Accommodation very clean and quirky. Breakfast is truly amazing, the best I have had in a Dublin Hotel..

We accidentally stumbled upon the Kilronan House and LOVED it. The rooms were cute and comfortable, the staff were super friendly, and the free breakfast was excellent. The location is also great...close to a variety of bars and restaurants, frequented by locals; cheaper and more comfortable than staying in the tourist area of town.

Stayed here a few times because it is in a great location for a decent price. The staff is very nice, BUT I agree with some other reviews about the rooms being tired and not very comfortable. The rooms are small, which is fine, but the bed and pillows weren't very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

We booked a double room for 3 nights in February 2018 for a wedding. The location is really good and it was easy to find on google maps and the fact that your car is parked for you and safe throughout your stay is an added bonus. Romi, the Manager, throughout the process of booking, arriving and during our stay, was most welcoming and attentive. It's a really homely place to stay - tea and coffee available and the breakfast is really good with plenty of choice and cooked to order. The room was spotless and warm. A really important point is that the area is nice and safe and there wasn't a sound during the night. I would highly recommend Kilronan House.

I stayed in the Kilronan house in 2009, and had such a good experience with charming atmosphere, friendly staff and great food, that I returned nearly a decade later for round 2! Unfortunately, it seems to be under new management lacking the heart, soul and care for the beautiful space. I had a weather induced travel problem and requested assistance, and was never called back or assisted. The desk staff tried to be accommodating, but several seemed to know very little about the surrounding area. The food was nothing like it was in 2009...did not seem fresh at all. The rooms and facilities need upgrades in quality and charm. Everything seemed a bit dingy. This is a fantastic space and location - I hope it gets the TLC upgrade it needs to be the place of splendor and Irish charm it once was!

Full menu choice of traditional Irish breakfast, silver coffee and teapots, personal service, cozy, charming. Many breakfast choices and included in price. Orthopedic beds, WI-Fi, TV, hairdryer. Very clean, hospitable, accommodating staff. Conveniently located near St Stephen's Green and close to LUAS stop in central Dublin.
