A group of us stayed here for 1 night on our way further west. This is a classic style Boutique like hotel. Full of charm and anything but cookie cutter like you find in so many chain hotels. Our rooms were good sizes, beds were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms did the trick. We had the breakfast in the morning and it was delicious. I would stay here again any time.
We stayed 2 nights. The staff were all excellent. Ever smiling and so courteous and helpful. After reading the reviews, I had requested a room in the lowest possible floor, so we wouldn’t have to navigate stairs. We reached at midnight, completely exhausted. They had allotted us a first floor room and the guy on duty, sweetly carried our suitcases to the room for us. The staff at breakfast too were excellent and breakfast was filling and yummy. Good hot water. Space for everything. Comfortable sleep. Quiet location but walking (10-25 mins) distance to so many highlights.
We stayed here for 4 nights for a long weekend away. It’s a small b&b across two buildings and as with many older and smaller establishments it’s pros are also it’s cons. The original features and decor are lovely, but they are by their nature dated, and the old building isn’t the easiest to convert into a modern hotel, therefore the bathroom was small and could do with a refurb but it did the job. The staff were fantastic, very polite and helpful, but because it’s smaller they weren’t so able to cope with us when we wanted a much earlier breakfast because of a very early start coach trip. Saying that the breakfasts were fantastic, really nice choices and the staff were happy to alter menus if required. Excellent smoked salmon and poached eggs! Lots of coffee in a lovely atmosphere. Location was great, 15-20 min walk to temple bar and less than 5 mins to st. Stephens green. We walked everywhere. WiFi worked well and bed was comfortable. You could hear neighbours if they were noisy (again old building) but it was mainly just families and wasn’t a problem. I would recommend this place to those who want a nice friendly place to stay with a bit of character and would happily stay again.
We stood in Kilronan 2 days and we absolutely enjoyed it. The location is very convenient and quiet. The rooms are small but clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was very delicious with many options. Would definitely stay again!
Our overnight stay in Kilronin House was a fantastic experience . The welcome we received from the manager was absolutely outstanding. He considered our needs perfectly and treated us to coffee and biscuits Bruno his assistant was so beautiful and friendly beyond words could explain his attention. Bedroom was small but so warm and comfortable on a very cold day and night . Breakfast was better than any 5 star hotel. Our friends whoalso stayed were equally happy. Well done Boys. We will be back.
The kilronan B.B. is in a very good location in the center of Dublin with direct accession from the airport with 757 bus. The price was a real bargain for Dublin center. The room I stayed was in the last floor. It was small with old stuff but the thing that disappointed me was the terrible mattress. It was heavily used and i couldn’t sleep because my half body was sinking inside. Personnel was really very kind and breakfast was nice but the main point was that terrible mattress. Sorry but in b&b you go to sleep. What to do with all the rest if I cannot sleep. Also I have to mention that there is no elevator and if you stay like me in the last floor it is really very hard to climb the stairs with your luggage especially if it is heavy like mine was. To be honest all the times I stayed in a central Dublin hotel I was never satisfied. It is because most of them are very old and perhaps bellow 150€ no hotel is acceptable. This is exactly the opposite with what is happening with hotels next to the airport. High quality with low prices.
Just got home from a 2 night stay at kilronan guest house not impressed, very thin walls so could hear neighbouring room talking giggling flushing toilets even peeing, and the rooms above were do noisy banging on floors stamping and slamming doors etc way into the early hours so no sleep was had, the decor is getting very tired and needs major refurbishment but on the plus side the staff are fantastic so welcoming, friendly and could not do enough for us breakfast was very nice as we're the complimentary Irish coffee on a freezing cold afternoon sadly won't be returning.
It's a B&B in two attractive old houses. The staff were very friendly though didn't always speak great English. The location is about 10 mins walk from the main attractions. The room was attractive but slightly run down. The breakfast is good, though other places I've stayed have been better. Some of the claims on the website like being family operated and having some home made food didn't seem to happen
We, my wife and I, came to Dublin to visit my daughter and stayed for five days at Kilronan House, where we’ve stayed before and will again. Modest, unpretentious and notable for the attention to detail in its tasteful décor. The rooms are pleasant and well heated and ventilated. Elaborate breakfasts with a wide choice of menu and attentive and friendly, really helpful service. Excellent restaurants nearby, in a quiet street and in easy reach of the City Centre.
Stayed here for one night. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Dublin. Great staff, very helpful, free parking, warm, clean, great location, and the breakfast is just excellent. short stroll to stephens green, will stay here again for sure.
