This was the second time we've stayed here--the first was in 1994. It was as good as we remembered it! Very cozy and quaint B&B. Nice room, although this time a bit smaller. We loved the breakfast with bananas, yogurt and granola then eggs etc. Our server was a nice young man. The location was near St. Stephen's Green and away from the hectic pace of Grafton Street and Temple Bar where we stayed last time--that was too noisy. Definitely recommend this B&B
We enjoyed our time at the Kilronan House. Upon arrival the receptionist was very helpful (helped carry our bags) and provided all the necessary information needed for walking around Dublin City. The some of the rooms are in different buildings (we had to go next door for breakfast each day) and there are no elevators (so be prepared to walk up a few flights if you are on the top floor.) The location is very nice and within walking distance of Grafton Street, the Hop On Hop Off, and the Airlink.
I spent two days in Kilronan House with my family last summer. The house is amazing, full of charme, located in a quite road, very central and at walking distance to the main highlights in Dublin. The rooms are confy, spacious and clean. Breakfast is served in an charming dining room and it is a real Irish breakfast, with lots of choices. But the "plus" is the kindness of the hosts: they do any effort to welcome you and pay attention to every detail. It was my little daughter's birthday and I asked them if they could provide a cake: that morning all the staff came into the breakfast room singing "happy birthday" with a gorgeous cake (kindly offered by the house)! I truly recommend this place!
The room was comfortable and pretty. The bathroom was small as usual for converted house but had modern faucets, etc. No problem with wifi or charging multiple computers/phones. The staff was wonderful! Helpful suggestions for touring and opened kitchen early to get us breakfast before our early flight out.
I honestly was disappointed with Kilronan house. It is, what I would call.....shabby. It needs a lot of updating. Our room was small, torn wallpaper, just not as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The staff was helpful when asked and the breakfast was pretty good. I'm just used to B&B's being REALLY nice and Kilronan house is not cheap. The street it's on is not the greatest either but it is close to a lot of things and my daughter and I walked everywhere which was nice. When it came down to it I did not think it was worth the money and I wouldn't stay there again.
My husband and I, along with our adult children, stayed for 3 nights for a family vacation. The location was ideal -- we walked just about everywhere. Loved being close to St. Stephens Green. The service was excellent -- from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The rooms were clean (though our upstairs room in the building next door was quite warm) and the breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to any travelers.
This little guest house was charming & in a great location. Bruno was very helpful & pleasant. Rooms are old but clean & comfy. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful. Located near Trinity College Thank you Christine
The location is great, just a couple blocks from St. Stephen’s Green, and the staff was nice, but the property is a little shabby. Rooms are small and worn, bathrooms are tiny and not well planned. Housekeeping didn’t replenish tea/coffee. Standard stuff for a city, but don’t expect too much.
Stayed 3 nights in standard sized room with 2 queen beds. (687 euro) Guesthouse is on a pretty tree lined street and within walking distance of Grafton street. Took us about 15-20 minutes to walk there. Some louder street noise on the side we were on. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland. Beds and bathroom were clean but carpet is sorely in need of replacing. Drapes were very dusty and in need of a good cleaning and repair. Wifi was poor to nonexistent in room.
A wonderful place. Not far to walk to all the action but far enough away that it's peaceful and relaxing! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Romi and his staff catered to all our needs! Great breakfasts too! We'll be returning on our next trip to Dublin! I highly recommend it!
