Amazing Georgian-era hotel. Fabulous restaurants, live music, and friendly staff. Close to restaurants and pubs, and public transportation is a short walk away. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an historical experience in Dublin.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the property, the staff was wonderful and helpful with my stay and questions. I was given great recommendations by hotel staff for restaurants in the area. The service and room met and exceeded my expectations. Thank you for making my stay amazingly brilliant.

Outstanding stay at this beautiful hotel. Location is perfect. Staff were so friendly and helpful! Food was delicious! Would highly recommend staying there. Looking forward to my next trip back!

Friendly Staff. Live Music in Restaurant. Great location—city center

Location was good. Hotel was under renovation. Restaurants on site are good but the wait staff is not so good. Got up after 15 minutes of being seated and no one even acknowledged we were there.

This is a beautiful property, with lovely sitting rooms, and spacious accommodations. Heated towel rack in the bathroom means never freezing after a shower! However, rooms on the ground floor are subject to noise and there was a large window with no opaque curtains to block the light or keep people from seeing into my room other than some sheers. Staff was great, food at the restaurant was delicious.

The good: Reasonably good location - 12 minute walk to the river. Staff mostly friendly & helpful (some extremely friendly & helpful). Room was ready for us despite a very early (6:am) arrival at the airport. First floor and reception areas very nice. Outside of hotel also nice. Free computer/Internet but slow. The bad: Bed uncomfortable and slightly slanting - I had a sore back each morning & my ears were actually sore from the stiff pillows. Paint chipping & flaking around the door & framed paintings were screwed into the wall all crooked and not level. WC smelled odd when we arrived, shower very small and it was difficult to turn around without hitting the water control with your shoulder (and yes, I realize many showers in Europe are small). People at the desk advised us not to venture north of the hotel to look for a pub and gave the impression it was either unsafe or we would not be welcomed because we were not "regulars." Pub in the hotel basement not nearly as nice as the pics show on line and the beers were ridiculously expensive (most beers were 5.0 - 6.5 Euros for a pint in the fancy pubs and it was 6.8 here). We had free breakfast, but the poached eggs were often over-cooked & almost hard, & the sausages tasted awful and were a combination of either almost raw or over-fried from yesterday. Restaurant staff nice. We got a good deal for the hotel price through orbitz, but if I had to pay the regular price for a room I would say it definitely was not worth it.

I loved that the hotel retained it's old world charm and turn of the century unique quality but still had wonderful food and drink. It is also close to the center of the city and public transportation. The staff was always helpful and attentive.

I liked the character of the buildings and the staff are excellent and make you feel at home. The location is perfect. The food is very good and the breakfast service and choices are great. The only downside is that the rooms are very small and you can hear every creak and noise from the hallway and other rooms. The warmth of the staff will make me go back again.

The room is spacious. The beds are comfortable. The hotel staff are courteous and helpful.

The staff and Bar downstairs were amazing. The rooms however lacked a bit, we were first placed in an non-renovated room with a damaged bed and then a below average small corner room.

Massive rooms and enjoyed walking the grounds with the nearby forest. The views were superb! Breakfast was grand! Loved the dogs.

The property was beautiful. Jonathan gave us a tour of the place and history of the Castle which was awesome.

The location was great. Close walking distance from bus and tram stops which saved on transportation costs. The breakfast was more than adequate and we loved the live music every night. Would definitely recommend!

This is an amazing hotel. So much character and great location in dublin.

Good location with easy ten minute walk to Trinity College and shops.
