hidden gem

It is billed as a studio, but it's much bigger than I expected. The upstairs has a kitchen , table, sofa and a cable Tv. downstairs has 3 double beds and a bathroom. great value and close to town. Dorset Street is a bit noisy as the living room is in next to a busy street, but that didn't bother me at all. it might bother others.

Overpriced stay in Dublin

We arrived at the hotel at 1pm having travelled from the United States. The staff would do nothing to provide us with early access to our room ( 4pm check in) .. We stayed there 3 nights and the room was not cleaned during our stay nor were extra towels provided. The bathroom was miniscule ( should not be called a bathroom as there was no bath ) the sink unusable and the shower is not designed for normal sized humans. Only one set of keys were provide which meant that we had to synchronize our return to the room . Only self parking at a public parking lot was provided and this lot was impossible to get to because of road works and a system of one-way roads .The staff did not want to help in ANY way and it certainly appeared that our being there was a 'thorn in their side'

Great room but under construction

The room, or in this case, an apartment, was large, clean and nicely renovated with a modern kitchen, bath and even a washing machine. However the building itself was undergoing construction which was very noisy in the mornings. Going into the entrance hallway was literally walking through a dusty construction site. This place may be a lot nicer when they finish it in 6 months or so.
