Pros - its cheap Cons - poorly run, they didnt serve their breakfast even though they offered it, janky rooms with broken or missing ammenities, incompetent staff. Its good for a cheap night stay. Lower your expectations

The history is interesting but the property is old and in need of updating. It's OK if you like "rustic". The beds were comfortable and the pool was nice. The room needed painting. Breakfast was meager at best.

Very eclectic decorations. Love the airplane on the front yard. Reasonably prices. Accommodations are kind of old. Needs some updating. But for price it is acceptable. Breakfast was very nice.

The property was clean. The coffee and breakfast was decent. We did not care for the person waiting on us. He was not customer friendly and could not understand everything he said. We also did not like that the hot tub was out of order. That was one of the main reasons we decided to stay there.

This place is worth the trip and offers a great atmosphere for your getaway. The rooms are awesome and the common areas are great to hang out in.

This hotel was a really nice stay for my husband and I

It's weird and quirky and charmingly cheesy. The staff was nice and helpful and it is close the House on the Rock.

One of the most interesting places I've stayed in. I ended up renting one of the themed rooms. It was quirky and fun. Outside was an old military cargo plane you can checkout. Plus there is a random chapel looking building right outside the hotel. All this was something I wasn't expecting staying at some random hotel in the middle of nowhere, though it was one of the closet hotels to the House on the Rock where I was going.

This place overall is very dated or at least the “cave room” is. There were rips in the material covering the baseboards of the bed and the bedspread looked very used. It could really use some updating and remodeling. It looks like they may have started with the modern sink in the room but now they need to work on the rest of the room and the interior in general.

The kink is there but could use some upgrades........

For pure querkiness it cannot be beaten. Don Q was an eccentric and perhaps obsessive collector of everything from giant airplanes to barber chairs and lots between. I doubt that any other motel (very reasonable rates) can top it. For one thing, you'll never forget it. Both the building and the grounds are huge – all the more room for whatever oddities he could find.

The barber chairs in the lobby. Also, the large plane out front.

Charming little place. The airplane was interesting. Anachronistic and quaint. Didn’t have a reason to check out the themed rooms but they looked fun.

The Don Q Inn is a unique property, that is very comfortable, clean, and has spacious rooms. We really enjoyed our time there. The pool and hot tub are great, not like a lot of chain hotels. The lobby decor is eclectic and fun -- the barber chairs are awesome! Everything was well taken care of. While the rooms could use some updating, it didn't really matter to us because everything was so clean. The shower worked great and so did the AC. The games were fun as well. Overall for the price, this place can't be beat. We are looking for a reason to go back to this part of the state so we can stay here again.

Our stay at Don Q was the most fun and the staff were always friendly and quick to attend to any needs.

Staff is very nice and helpful the location of the hotel was in a great spot and the rooms were clean and neat
