This was by far the worst motel I have ever seen in my entire life. There were feces smeared underneath and on top of the toilet and the whole place stank as if someone had died in there. When confronting the manager, he did not even seem surprised. He clarified that this was a low budget chain and that it's well possible that the rooms are not very clean. We tried a second room but when the bed sheets started itching, we fled across the street to a nicer motel. I still start to choke when I think back to the Rodeway Inn.
We stayed in room 118 and the minute I walked in, I knew it was not to my liking. Large room with king sized bed and a couch ( probably a pull out). All the wooden furniture was very worn and some were chipped. There were cracks in the wall too. Our rate was only $ 55 and it looks like it.
My husband and I spent one night here last weekend on our way to Jackson, Tennessee. We did not book ahead of time and did not realize that many hotels are completely booked on Friday nights from Jackson all the way to Nashville. At midnight, we were just happy to get ANY room in Dickson and ended up pleasantly surprised. This hotel is a good value for someone on a budget or someone in need of a place to lay their head for one night. We paid about half of what it would cost to stay at some of the larger chain hotels at this exit. We had a nonsmoking room with a king size bed and sleeper sofa. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was average ( we have slept in more comfortable ones at other hotels). The continental breakfast was minimal. There was only one type of coffee, whole milk, and orange juice to drink. There wasn't any fruit, eggs, or yogurt. Only cereal, toast, or muffins. Definitely bare bones amenities but at least the room was quiet- no highway noise or annoying air conditioner.
Spent a night travelling through this area. Room is awkwardly set up and felt like a cave. Funny odor in the room smelled like they trenched the place with some type of cheap cleaner to cover any other smell. Paint job on the walls was sloppy and fingerprints on the faux brass wall sconces made a very poor impression. Furniture has stains on it but to be fair it was clean....
Newly renovated rooms! Very clean.. Beds were comfortable. Under new management, staff has been very polite and helpful. Thank you for accommodating last min requests. I will be returning soon. Highly recommended!
Roadway inn in Dickson Tenn is Awesome! The room was very clean & the people at the front desk was more than a little nice & helpful. We came in late almost every night & they held our room even though we didn't pay till we came most nights. I highly recommend!!
Here are the reasons I liked this hotel: The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was easy to regulate. The shower was great. There was a large variety of tv channels. The desk clerk was very polite and helpful and invited us to inspect The room before we paid. The room was equipped with a coffee pot, coffee, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, iron, ironing board. AND IT COST $100 DOLLARS LESS THAN THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR. They do have a continental breakfast, but we slept too late in our comfortable bed to have breakfast. We plan to take the money we saved and sight see in Nashville
We booked this room on Hotwire at 11:30 pm on Thursday night and when we arrived at the motel less than 15 minutes later the manager refused to refund our money. This room was disgusting! Dirty, stinky and unsafe. There appeared to be a drug deal going on right outside the room when we got there. The manager told us that we were just out of luck that he wasn't going to refund anything. We expressed to him that the room stunk and that we felt unsafe with all that was going on outside and he still refused a refund. I then called Hotwire and they also refused a refund. Moral of the story is................NEVER use Hotwire and ALWAYS request to see the room before booking it! This place should be condemned! It is definitely NOT what they advertise it to be. Those pictures must be from years ago. VERY DISSATISFIED! I drove another hour and paid for yet another room.
