Full explanation to follow, but because its a bit long the short version is I had to make a reservation for a block of rooms twice here (they lost it the first time) and even then they did not meet the terms that we agreed upon. If you are making a block of rooms for any reason make sure to get EVERYTHING, even the smallest details in writing or they will screw it up. Full story: I am getting married at the end of this month, but had a long engagement. I made a block of 50 rooms at this hotel over a year in advance, but made the mistake of not getting a printed contract. Come time when my future mother in law calls to make a reservation they tell her that no such block exists. I call the next morning and get it straightened out . At this point I'm thinking that they're nice people for working with me to fix the problem, but am still weary so I drop by to get a printed contract. When I spoke with the manager, Shelia, I clarify that I am blocking off 50 rooms for this particular weekend. She took my credit card, but stated that in order for me not to be charged for the rooms she would release them 2 weeks prior, fine. This, however, did not somehow make it into their system as 3 weeks before the wedding my maid of honor calls to reserve a room and is told that the whole place is booked. I call to check and find that they did not, in fact make a wedding block that gives you a group rate AND hold the rooms I stated for my guests (as she had told me and as common sense would dictate). No, they only put a group rate with our name and the hotel rooms were first come first serve . I was told that after the release date they would be first come first serve, but before this they would be held. The manager maintained that I did not give her my credit card and she had told me of this fact, even though no one with common sense would make a block of rooms for a wedding that weren't actually going to be held for their guests. Not only did she not attempt to fix the problem in any way, she was very rude about it and kept talking over me and essentially just blaming me for the mistake. I cannot speak to the actual quality of the rooms or stay at the hotel, but would tell anyone making a block of rooms with them to be EXTREMELY careful.
Attached is a photo of what I was greeted by on turning on the light in my room. This kind of inattention to detail is tough not to notice. The check-in and check-out experience were OK. As was the overall stay. But, something like the chair? Unreal. Especially at a Comfort Inn!
Room was clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Pool was small but clean. Would've loved a hot tub to relax in after a long day which a nearby hotel had which was only 2 driveways away. Internet connection was horrible though asking every 20 seconds if I wanted to reconnect.
They have a nice hot breakfast available each morning. They have water and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. They have an indoor pool and exercise room, although we did not use either of those. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.
Ok July 25th 2017 terrible pool water .. there was nasty hair on floor ants on table n air condition vents are nasty and the breakfast dining is a small room with nasty stained chairs and aircondition blows right near one table terrible trash can which was broke to put trash in please don't go if your liking inviting eat areas staff nice but hotel is being renovated stay away!
Room 120...avoid! We stopped on our way out of Nashville.for the night. Many many options but Comfort Inns have a decent rep and this one supppsey has high ratings. Pur visit does not reflect that. Room 120, really weird musty smell mixed with cigarette smoke. We don't smoke so we recognized the smell immediately. I checked both front air filters. They needed to be changed. The smell is coming from deeper and this unit really needs to be cleaned thoroughly. Dust was everywhere....in the lamps, the lamp shades. Bathroom is tiny and I believe the toilet seal is compromised as an odor was very noticeable around the toilet. It was just yuck all the way around. Rodeway Inn is next door and I wish we had stayed there. This was the worst experience with a Comfort Inn I have experienced. Breakfast wise...eating area is tiny, but breakfast is adequate. Some reviews hit them on breakfast but we found it acceptable and offers something for everyone. Staff working desk at check out seemed to not care what guests thought...or about their job really. Won't be back to this location.
We spent the weekend in Dickson and this was a delightful motel! Room looked and smelled clean and it was quiet, bathroom was very clean, air conditioner was great. Devin at the desk was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was very good with a variety of cereals, eggs, sausage, etc. Although I didn't use the gym it was clean and looked inviting. Because the motel is back off the road there were no street noises. A delightful place to stay and we will definitely stay there again!
Driving to Nashville, severe rains caused me and my daughter to seek shelter. My daughter went to the front desk to speak to the night clerk and explain our situation. The employee named Rachel could not have been more accommodating. We were given a quiet corner room at a great rate. The room was clean with comfortable beds with very nice linens. Breakfast the next morning was good, but the room for dining is small. All personnel was friendly and efficient. We were very pleased.
For the nightly price everything in the room was nearly as expected for the area. Staff members were friendly and helpful (escorted me directly to the ice machine). There was ample parking in the back of building with plenty of light. The room overall was clean and neat. The beds were too soft for my liking but that's just personal preference. The only negative is the shower had weak water pressure. The breakfast was exactly as advertised "continental." Other people who are critical of their breakfast must not know the definition of "continental." Go right up the street if you want a hot country breakfast and I'm sure you'll find something to your liking. It's a nice place to stay for the price on a long road trip.
Close to the freeway but no noise. Within east driving/walking to restaurants. Reasonable prices. Clean. Spacious room with large screen TV. Well appointed exercise room. The staff was helpful. Only negative was the ottoman was torn and stained.
