Perfect in every way. No other Detroit hotel compares. Beautiful historic buildings, professional staff, shuttle service to area venues and restaurants, excellent breakfast in an elegant dining room. Walking distance to the Detroit Institute of Arts. What more can you ask for? Love it here. We choose Inn on Ferry Street every time we stay overnight in Detroit.

The Inn on Ferry St. is my absolute favorite place to stay in downtown Detroit. Staff, room, cleanliness and comfort are all top notch! The breakfast in the morning was terrific! We had two different quiches, homemade waffles, bread and pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea and juices to pick from. There was something for everyone. Our shuttle driver was on time and very polite. Just a great place to stay!

This is a unique way to spend your time away from home. It has the charm and character of a 19th century mansion. Safe neighborhood, friendly staff, accommodating for special situations, excellent complimentary breakfast! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for others.

Hotel is in a string of old mansions. There are lots of beautiful places to chill out with a book. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. The staff is super helpful.

Hotel was a bit hard to find, the sign out front is very small. What a hidden treasure! Everything was perfect from the staff to the room.

This day was absolutely awesome. Staff is friendly, helpful and very courteous. Beautiful Victorian charm on a quiet street. Upgraded our room to a Queens room which had a bedroom bathroom and living area with outdoor deck attached to the bedroom. Everything was absolutely beautiful just wish we had more time to enjoy Our stay.

Floor tile in bathroom and tile grout dirty. Walls adjacent to sink had toothpaste splatter. Carpeted floors squeak noticeably. Thin walls--can hear conversations in adjacent room. Staff very accommodating. Treats left out in dining area. Breakfast nice touch but eggs cold two consecutive days.

The Inn was beautiful. The homes were gorgeous. You felt as though you were living in the past with a décor to match. The fireplaces, light fixtures, woodwork, windows were gorgeous. Private parking in back. Felt very safe. Thanks!

This is a real gem in Detroit. I loved their shuttle service that took me to restaurants and to the baseball game! Also, excellent breakfast every morning. I highly recommend the Inn on E. Ferry Street.

Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly, as was the bell person. Good location for a game at Comerica park, they offer free shuttle service within 5 miles. I had a clean and cozy room in one of four Victorian mansions, each had a porch with table and chairs to relax. The complimentary continental breakfast was fantastic, a great way to start the day. Overall an excellent experience at a great value!

This is the 3rd time at this B&B style place. There are 5 houses that have rooms in each. Beautiful facitlities and comfortable atmosphere. Located around the corner from the DIA (art museum). Shuttle available all the time that takes you where you would like to go...within 5 mile radius. Very convenient to go downtown and back.

We found this gem last year and decided to return this year for another vacation. Wonderful room once again. Decorated beautifully and very clean. The breakfast is wonderful and the service is outstanding. The shuttle will take you within five mile radius and the driver is prompt, courteous and friendly. We will be returning again next year (hopefully the Tigers will win).

The shuttle service was wonderful. That was the best part of the deal. All of our drivers were nice. Our room was ok. They need to update the carpeting, it was a bit old. The room in general needs some updating. A nice hard wood floor would make a great improvement. The bed was comfortable and bedding was nice though. The breakfast was good too. The staff was great! Being able to walk to the museums was a plus.

We had a very enjoyable stay. It was a nice change of pace to stay at a hotel with such rich history. Our room was in the Pungs House. Clean, very friendly staff, good breakfast - and amazing American architecture. We would stay here again.

Great bed and breakfast. Breakfast was great. Good selection of fruit, grains, and a basic egg tray. They put me up in the third floor of one of the 4 houses that make up this group of B&Bs on Ferry St. Creaky floors are all I can complain about...not really complain, it all added to the charm of the Victorian era place. Modernized enough to be comfortable with TV and modern bathroom. Wifi included free. Staff was fantastic as well. I came to work at the DIA and I wasn't disappointed in its proximity. Bear in mind that the midtown area of Detroit is kind of rough; some nice neighborhoods intermingled with burned out or boarded up houses. Felt fairly safe on Ferry Street. The proximity was also its weakness in that there weren't very many options for dining. Overall, the Inn on Ferry St exceeded my expectations.

This hotel is a gem. It's essentially a series of mansions converted to guestrooms and common areas. The room we had was immaculate, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The location is excellent, as well. The Inn is located right on the edge of the museum and university area, and there are several great museums a short walk away. Detroit has a reputation for being depressed right now, but in the vicinity of the Inn that just means a lot of open space and quiet. Public transit in Detroit is a little sketchy, but the main N/S artery of the city (Woodward Avenue) is just west of the Inn, and there is a bus line that can take you downtown and close to the south lakefront and both major sports venues. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff helpful and warm. Even if your business takes you downtown, it might be worth it to stay here and commute the three miles or so. You'll get a great night's sleep and a great start to your day before hailing a cab or taking the adventuresome bus ride. I highly recommend this place, and I'm looking forward to returning.

What a little gem. Great location to anything you want to do downtown. Staff was excellent and breakfast was perfect with lots of choices and delicious food. Will dystopian there every chance I get.

Beautiful hotel with tons of character. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great hotel for a weekend stay. The location is prime, near all the downtown attractions without being downtown.

I love the Ferry Inn! I have stayed three times now while visiting family in the area. It is a charming historic hotel within close proximity to the Detroit Institute of Arts, Motown Museum, great new restaurants, and more. They have free shuttle service in the area. Fantastic breakfast in the morning and pleasant staff. For a visit to Detroit, it is a great option especially if you are someone who appreciates history and culture.
