My husband and I stayed here for two nights, and it was lovely. The entire staff, from the valet to the front desk, was extremely friendly and attentive. Alicia (I believe the manager) checked on us via text during our stay, and when I mentioned a small issue, she was ready to do what she could to make it better. The hotel was modern and clean, and it appeared to be well-maintained. It was great having access to Hamilton's, which had a delicious breakfast. It's close to a neighborhood, which was nice since I brought my dog and needed a place to relieve her. My only complaints were that housekeeping didn't empty one of our trash bins prior to our arrival, and I found a piece of hair in the shower. Additionally, our shower head had a drip, which was annoying, and we had to put down a hand towel to muffle the sound. Finally, there are quite a few unhoused individuals in the area, and I did spot one of them walking in the nearby parking lot and looking into car windows. We also believe a car was burgled on the street nearby one night. However, I recognize these are things out of the control of the hotel staff, and I'm not counting this against them. Finally, the area is walkable and pretty close to everywhere we visited.

First time in Detroit and this place was excellent. Close to a lot of great food spots, the rooftop vibes were great (including food) and everything was so nice for a great price!

The stay was great. Easy check in and good location. The only issue is the sheer bllind did not work so window was open to the street if the blackout curtain wasn't down. Other than that, good value.

HOTELS DOT COM could have warned me.

This is less of a review of the venue than it is of HOTELS.COM. I booked this hotel as a placeholder and forgot about it. I am a furloughed federal employee and ended up canceling my weekend plans. I never received a reminder email from HOTELS or anything. The weekend came and went. It was an expensive lesson I learned. There is no reason to use this portal instead of going directly to the hotel. There are zero perks to using it, especially in resolving a dispute.

They had not yet changed the thermostats over, so the room got a little chillier than we would have liked. We had to call and ask for an extra blanket. Other than that everything was fine.
