The hotel itself was nice but we were placed in room 119 right next to the pool, which was open until 12am and we could hear a lot of noise from our room. We checked in around 11pm, exhausted and needing to wake up very early the next day. As soon as I noticed that we could hear noise from our room, I asked the front desk if we could switch to another room but they said none was available. So we were stuck hearing noise until 12:30am, at which point the people at the pool started arguing with the staff.
The inside was clean enough for a pass through stay. Out side was a little unfriendly after dark. I was a little worried about my motorcycle. Like I said if your passing through I would stay again. That’s about it!
This is our 2nd time to stay with them last year around this time 05/26 to 05/28/2018 And 05/29/2019 to 06/01/2019. Great service staff are so friendly. Place is very clean convenient with everything shopping mall, gas station, restaurants. This is the best place we can call home, we traveled 15hrs NY to Decatur IL, will definitely recommend this place to friends. Breakfast food served and coffee is always great. Great to bring your family especially if you have kids pool not to deep 3ft to 5ft. My family is always happy Everytime we come and visit this hotel. Keep up the great team work. This company is lucky to have hard working, friend ly staff
Staff is very nice and helpful. We travelled from NY and that's 15hrs as soon we checked in room is so clean and feel at home. Breakfast was great it's perfect. Pool is good not to deep just perfect. Will definitely visit again Keep up the great job

Very nice Quality Inn. Appeared recently updated. Clean, quiet, and probably the best Hot Tub in a hotel that we ever used. Breakfast was fine as well.
When I arrived I was informed I had requested a smoking room. While it is possible I had inadvertantly checked such a box, it was certainly not my intent. The amazing thing was that the hotel refused to change to a non smoking room. I was told at the desk, I should have called the hotel directly instead of going through Orbitz. I had already paid in full "so I was stuck with it". Never did the desk clerk indicate no non smoking room was available. She did require that I sign a form that stated I would agree to a $150 extra charge if I smoked in a non smoking room for extra cleaning. BTW, the air quality in the room was so bad as to make it uninhabitable. We all had throat irritation and smelly clothes from a 10 hour stay. I doubt this room met minimal ventilation standards. This experience looks really bad on both companies. Next time I will call the hotel first, but it won't be a Comfort Inn.
Really good breakfast and well maintained. Staff was quite friendly and professional--quick to respond to any questions/requests. King room provided good space, not crowded. We didn't use pool or jacuzzi, but others did (winter) and had good things to say. Fresh towels placed poolside every AM. Local and USA Today papers complimentary each day.

OMG! This hotel is a nightmare come to life! The person at the counter was very uninterested in helping me right from the check in. Immediately I was hit with the oddest smells inside the complex. The floors of the hallways were sticky and so was the carpet in the room. The bathroom was FILTHY! There was even hair on the floor from the previous occupant that hadn't been picked up. There were stains from a man's doings on the bed linens so I slept on the bath towels. The internet connection did not work. And most importantly, the smell of the room was simply VILE! Sure, it was a smoking room, but the odor was simply overwhelming! There were no other rooms available in town that night, otherwise I'd have gone elsewhere. This hotel is desperately in need for a restoration/update.
First night very loud crickets in room, trouble sleeping, felt staff was unresponsive to my concerns. Second day - miscommunication, moved to new room and second night was great.
Very pleasant stay. It was quiet and private but still conveniently located to several attractions.
at checkin [...] was very courteous,helpful, insured all our needs were met and assisted anyway possible to make our stay comfortable. on checkout clerk was courteous inquired if all went well and as sincere inthe anwers i gave her..room was excellent in all respects, restuarants were nearby easy access to highway..will stay again when in that area..
We went to Decatur, IL, to visit Millikin University for Orientation and Registration. Last time we stayed in Decatur, we stayed at EconoLodge and didn't feel safe so I searched on [...] for a location with good reviews. I found Comfort Inn and booked. I was more than impressed! The staff was super friendly and the lady working even booked us for Move-In day at Millikin! The beds were pillowtop (soooo comfortable), the rooms smelt really nice, and veryyy clean. And to top it off, the pool and hot tub was also spotless (which is hard to find)! My family plan to stay at Comfort Inn any time they come see me at college in the fall. :)
Great location for visiting daughter at Millikin University in Decatur. Close to restaurants and shopping. We have stayed here multiple times and have no complaints.
