The Suites Bahia is a comfortable, no frills property. We stayed 2 nights (Saturday & Sunday) & had a balcony room facing the Thirsty Cougar. It is no fault of the property itself but we would NEVER stay there again. On Saturday night the Thirsty Cougar has the loudest live music with a very off-key singer. It feels like the band is in the room with you! No way to sleep until it's over. Sunday night thankfully there was no live band & we were able to sleep just fine. I feel sorry for the Suites Bahia as I'm sure they have no control over this situation!

We have stayed there for many years, but the last several have been difficult because of the noise from the Thirsty Cougar bar across the street, especially when a band plays on the corner of the street. It is very loud no matter what room you are in.

The room was very clean and quiet. Some fixtures(sink) could be improved but everything worked fine. The breakfast at sister hotel was excellent. Only suggestion would be to add a comfy chair to room. There was no where to sit. After I asked for one the staff did add one. Thanks

Very small and personable. All staff welcoming, friendly and efficient. Breakfast very good . Bathroom dated but hear the hotel is being remodeled.

Impeccably clean friendly staff comfortable beds and a refrigerator. Nice local hotel. Been staying here for many years.

Clean property, good beds, great location. The rooms were quiet the shower had great water pressure.

Understand this: Suites Bahi'a is an older small hotel on the malecon in downtown Cozumel. The rooms are older but well maintained and the staff is always helpful. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful. You must walk a 1-2 blocks south along the malecon to Casa Mexicana to eat. The dining area is beautiful and the waitstaff excellent. Santa (SAWn- tah) makes omelettes, eggs, waffles, pancakes and is always gracious. There is also steamer trays of various breakfast stuff. Along with all that there's cereal, a juicer, fruits and fresh fruit juice. It is a great deal. One caution for some:- Suites Bahi'a sits across the street from The Thirsty Cougar and they often have live music and it can get a bit loud until about midnight. (it never bothered me) Having a room on the north or west side will make a big difference if loud music is an issue for you.

rustic looks nice staff very nice place and very helpful

Good location for shopping ,very good view of Caribbean , great food!

Great ,good location ,great breakfast will stay in balcony room next time

Clean room good housekeeping. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast

Overall great experience booking with orbitz, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Not only a dump, but a LOUD, all-hours-blaring bar opened up directly across the street (small side street) from the hotel. And I mean HORRIBLY LOUD. ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT. Yes, we complained. Yes, we were shown other rooms. All of the rooms had the same problem, absolutely no insulation from the LOUD music. We did try to stay in the last room... for about 10 minutes. The air conditioner did not work. This is Mexico at the end of June and we needed a working air conditioner. The locks on the door to the unit were about as good as a lock that I'd put on a bathroom. Absolutely no security. And since I didn't see a safe in the room, I really didn't feel comfortable leaving my items in the room unattended. The free breakfast? You have to walk four blocks to Casa Mexicana. Nowhere in the description of the free breakfast did it say I'd have to walk four blocks. They would NOT give us a refund. We booked through Orbitz, who would do almost nothing to help us. We finally decided to cut our losses and gave them back their key and said this wouldn't cut it for us. We walked down to Casa Mexicana and asked for a room. Strangely enough, they knew exactly who we were... since they own Bahia Suites and the clerk at Bahia Suites was advising them of our complaints. Casa Mexicana did the right thing and gave us credit for the money we almost wasted at Bahia Suites and we were happy divers for the rest of the trip. Do yourself a favor and just stay at Casa Mexicana.

I have been to Cozumel a few times and stayed in this downtown hotel to be close to my daughter who was staying in a "dive hotel" close-by. I did not realise that this is part of the same group as Casa Mexicana (just down the road) where our breakfast was served. I had stayed at Casa Mexicana before. We were pleased with the quality, comfort and position of the room although any downtown hotel can be noisy at night near to local bars. That, however, was not a problem for us. Hotel service was friendly and efficient. We will certainly return.

Have stayed there to go diving three times now. Close to everything with nice quite rooms. Nothing real fancy but nice and clean

hotel staff super friendly, helpful, easy walking distance to town, dive shops, would definitely stay there again. the staff were wonderful, the room spacious.

Excellent value, Awesome breakfast at sister hotel,Great location close to almost everything.
