Clean room good housekeeping. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast

Overall great experience booking with orbitz, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Not only a dump, but a LOUD, all-hours-blaring bar opened up directly across the street (small side street) from the hotel. And I mean HORRIBLY LOUD. ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT. Yes, we complained. Yes, we were shown other rooms. All of the rooms had the same problem, absolutely no insulation from the LOUD music. We did try to stay in the last room... for about 10 minutes. The air conditioner did not work. This is Mexico at the end of June and we needed a working air conditioner. The locks on the door to the unit were about as good as a lock that I'd put on a bathroom. Absolutely no security. And since I didn't see a safe in the room, I really didn't feel comfortable leaving my items in the room unattended. The free breakfast? You have to walk four blocks to Casa Mexicana. Nowhere in the description of the free breakfast did it say I'd have to walk four blocks. They would NOT give us a refund. We booked through Orbitz, who would do almost nothing to help us. We finally decided to cut our losses and gave them back their key and said this wouldn't cut it for us. We walked down to Casa Mexicana and asked for a room. Strangely enough, they knew exactly who we were... since they own Bahia Suites and the clerk at Bahia Suites was advising them of our complaints. Casa Mexicana did the right thing and gave us credit for the money we almost wasted at Bahia Suites and we were happy divers for the rest of the trip. Do yourself a favor and just stay at Casa Mexicana.

I have been to Cozumel a few times and stayed in this downtown hotel to be close to my daughter who was staying in a "dive hotel" close-by. I did not realise that this is part of the same group as Casa Mexicana (just down the road) where our breakfast was served. I had stayed at Casa Mexicana before. We were pleased with the quality, comfort and position of the room although any downtown hotel can be noisy at night near to local bars. That, however, was not a problem for us. Hotel service was friendly and efficient. We will certainly return.

Have stayed there to go diving three times now. Close to everything with nice quite rooms. Nothing real fancy but nice and clean

hotel staff super friendly, helpful, easy walking distance to town, dive shops, would definitely stay there again. the staff were wonderful, the room spacious.

Excellent value, Awesome breakfast at sister hotel,Great location close to almost everything.

Good location, close to pier and downtown restaurants. Clean rooms and good price for two beds, frig, and microwave.....What more could a diver ask for....Jim, Midway Mafia Divers

I stayed here in July 2014 as part of a solo diving trip. It's very conveniently located downtown, so I did not need a car to get to the supermarket and many of the great Cozumel eateries. Staff was pleasant and I liked having a full sized refrigerator in the room. Downsides were the lack of ANY view (I am talking a concrete wall here) and a shower with very little water pressure.

I always stay at Suites Bahia when I go to Cozumel. The location is great, the rooms are big and the breakfast is awesome. It's the perfect hotel for a budget minded traveler. Walking distance from all the restaurants and bars. Easy access to ferry terminal and boat piers for diving.

Older but spacious small kitchenette( no toaster blender just micro and Frig ) had elevator too !,VERY cooperative and helpful staff . Daily room cleaning Great location and excellent free buffet breakfast every day at an upscale sister hotel where you can hang out at as well ( great Ocean views, pool ,etc) t was close to my dive shop ( 5 minutes or less walk)easy walking along seaside promenade .close to Ferry and all kinds of shopping and dining

Suites Bahia is a nice basic hotel. The location is great for all downtown restaurants and activities. It is also close to the ocean and many rooms have balconies with ocean views. The rooms are clean and the staff very helpful. Being a diver I was happy with the location as I was able to easily walk to my pick-up point for morning dives. This is not a resort so if you are looking for a touristy / wait on me hand and foot experience, Suites Bahia is not for you.

A no frills hotel, great location, amazing breakfast. No complaints here. Cold AC and a refrigerator

I've been staying at Suites Bahia for 10 years. The location is perfect, the room is basic and clean and the included breakfast buffet is a hard value to beat. Hot water is plentiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not the RItz but for a budget minded traveler looking for basic accommodations and a good location, it's hard to beat.

This hotel is near everything downtown. The check-in process required me proving I had a reservation and then emailing it to them. The room had a nice kitchenette with dishes and included a microwave but no hot plate or coffee maker. Also lacking was readily available drinking water.

Great cheap location for divers using the downtown pier for pickup....close to local restaurants and City Center. Somewhat noisy at times due to outside traffic. Free buffet breakfast included in price at sister hotel, Casa Mexicana.

The hotel has a great location right across the strip from the water - right in the heart of downtown. The staff was courteous and professional. The rooms were good sized - though the mattresses were hard. Lobby has two computers available to guests. Price included a great breakfast at a hotel just a block away. While far from a luxury hotel, it was a good value for the budget-conscious traveler.

positives: clean hotel near several dive shops and boat piers in the center of the strip. a fantastic breakfast buffet is included in the price of the hotel. the rooms are average sized, clean. has a kitchenette with full sized fridge and microwave, plates and utensils. negatives: the bed mattresses are hard and lumpy, the window AC unit is loud, the tv has at most 2 channels with english speaking shows.

This hotel is great location for diving and fishing next to city pier, friendly staff always ready to help, clean, clean rooms not inclusive but the best breakfast in cozumel , sister hotel Casa Mexicana just as clean and a little fancier, stay at either....I stayed at this hotel many times in last forty years...always seems to improve...Cozumel is a great place to vacation...the La Mission has great food and service is just around corner from hotel , lobster and steak for 21.00

We are divers and require very little. The Bahia was very clean and the staff always met our needs with a smile. Great view from our ocean front room. For the price this place can not be beat. We had a short walk to their sister hotel every morning for breakfast. Casa Mexicana's breakfasts can not be beat. We have stayed at all inclusives that did not have as good a breakfast. Definitely worth what you pay.
