Beach, Sun, What More Do You Need?
Located in the gated community of Residencias Reef, about 20 minutes south of downtown Cozumel, this 3-bedroom, two-level unit is located in the only building in the community that sits right on San Francisco beach, Building 1. If you're at all familiar with Residencias Reef, you know Building 1 is a highly coveted spot among the four buildings in the community. Staying in the building means nothing will block your views of the beach and ocean. Both the building and condo face west, so you'll get to enjoy Cozumel's famous sunset each evening, maybe with a cold cerveza or margarita.
Newly renovated and under new ownership, this unit is loaded with every amenity you might need for a week-long stay. It has a spacious kitchen with appliances both big and small (electric oven and range, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, blender, etc., plus a variety of eating spaces: a breakfast bar, a dining room table that seats 8 (even though the unit only sleeps 6), or the oceanfront terrace table, which does seat 6. Maid service is included 2 days a week, as is purified water, a washer and dryer, Smart TVs in the living room with a Thunder TV app that provides hundreds of American, Canadian and other international TV channels. And of course there is WiFi.
Two of the three bedrooms face the ocean. Each of these has a king-size bed, an en suite bath, and the master has a private oceanfront terrace. The 3rd bedroom faces the jungle side, but also has a king-size bed.Â
And we can't forget the rooftop terrace, accessible via a spiral staircase from the living room terrace. It has some comfy seating and is the perfect spot to lounge and take in that romance novel you've been wanting to devour, or simply relax after a tiring day of scuba diving.
And speaking of scuba diving, the pier at the hotel next door is where you can arrange to be picked up by your dive boat. There is a small fee for using the pier, but it's incredibly convenient for getting picked up b/c it's literally a 200-yard walk down the beach.
The grounds of Residencias Reef also have a rinse tank for washing all your gear and if you don't dive there are the two freshwater pools, both heated. The front pool is oceanfront and has a jacuzzi (it doesn't get very hot), and outdoor shower, bathrooms, and bar and shaded area where you can store drinks and get out of the sun. The back pool has similar amenities, and is the perfect area to send the kids to play while you enjoy the serenity of the more adult-friendly front pool.
Best of all, downtown Cozumel is only about a 15-20 minute taxi ride, depending on which part of downtown you're going to. You'll of course find plenty of restaurants downtown, along with shopping, grocery stores, etc.Â
You really can't go wrong with Residencias Reef 5320. It's an amazing unit.
