I have stayed numerous times at Garnish House and was delighted to see that the excellent standard is upheld. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast is very generous and amazing choice available. Very friendly and attentive staff. I recommend Garnish House very highly.

The breakfast is very fantastic - delicious and various dishes to choose. The staff is very nice and the room is clean and convenient. Although I stayed in St.Judes (another building of Garnish House, 5 mins walk from it.), I am still served with excellent services.

Welcomed with tea and cakes on the house which set the tone for the visit. We turned the first room down as we wanted a different bed and was immediately offered another one. We left the car in the car park for a day as Cork is just a walk away. The walk along the river is very pleasant and just across the road is Cork University Campus with lovely buildings and grounds. The breakfast operation was very slick with many staff whizzing about and you are attended to quickly. If you are staying in Cork I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one overnight in Cork. Our room was lovely, clean and modern and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely fantastic. We both had different options and both thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this B&B and I'd stay here again if back in Cork :)

Located just outside downtown, but with excellent transportation, this hotel provided a pleasant room in an annex building with an adjacent lounge. The most striking characteristic was the breakfast which was one of the most varied and generous I have ever encountered. On arrival we were given a welcoming tea, and the service was always generous.

Very nice and clean hostel with very nice stuff. The breakfast is fantastic with a very big portions divided into three parts (something sweet at the beginning, the main breakfast and a desert). I can only recommend.

Based on reviews I chose Garnish House and maybe my expectations were too high or we just came on an off day, but our experience was just average. First the house is on a fairly one way street and we had to circle twice to find it. There is parking provided. The location cannot be beat, it's right off the walking trail and just a few minutes walk from downtown. We were greeted with scones and tea when we arrived, but it took quite a while for someone to answer the door and then once we were sat for tea the woman disappeared. We had to go searching for her to be able to actually check in once we had finished. The rooms themselves are outdated and look as if they were decorated in the 70s. They are small, but adequate. The front rooms face the street and there is no AC and no fans in the room, so if you're there when it's warm you get street noise through the open windows. The noise is enough that without earplugs you will be woken up throughout the night. The breakfast does not come with the room, but is an additional cost. The breakfast is extensive and there is a ridiculous amount of food to choose from and is of good quality. The service of the breakfast however, left quite a bit to be desired. We were largely ignored. Our food took a really long time to come out and we each got our food at separate times (there were four of us and we ordered at the same time) to the point that two people had finished eating and were ready to go when the last person finally got their food. For the price you pay I was not impressed. But it was an adequate BnB with a fantastic location in Cork.

Upon our arrival late afternoon, we were served fresh scones and tea. The staff did everything to make us feel at home. The location was perfect. We were in easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Cork University was minutes away, and the campus was beautiful. A full breakfast was included in the room price.

We stayed in Garnish House B&B and it was fantastic accommodation. It was ideal as we were attending a function in the city centre. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman and we were given complimentary coffee and homebaking on arrival. Our room was lovely very clean and spacious and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent and served by a lovely girl who was the owners daughter. I would highly recommend this accommodation and we look forward to returning.

We were given a room in the house across the street. It had 3 letting rooms, a well equipped kitchen with fridge and microwave etc, and a sitting room which were shared by the 3 rooms.. The room were were given had a double bed and a single. It had a spacious bathroom with a bath, spotless bed linen, good towels. We were invited back over to the main house, after dropping our luggage, to partake of the complimentary tea, fruit bread, soda bread and delicious scones, served with top quality raspberry jam and a bowl of cream. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I've come across in a long time, they could not do enough. We decided to have the breakfast on our first morning. It's 10 euros per person extra but worth every cent. Fruits, cereals including porridge, juices, more scones and breads not to mention lots of cooked options. The full Irish was delicious and kept up going for the day! It's about a 15 mins flat walk to the city centre and all the pub action on Oliver Plunkett St and surrounding area. The stop for the 205 bus to the train station,is a few minutes walk away. Would stay here again if I ever visit Cotk again and would highly recommend. Lovely place.
