Wakeup Copenhagen Carsten Niebuhrs Gade

I paid $30 extra for a Heaven view. All I could see was other parts of the hotel, some modern office buildings, and train tracks. Othersides of the hotel did have views of water and older parts of the city. I pointed this out and two hotel staff insisted that they made no mistake. I also note that the Orbitz website has their hotel shown as being much closer to the water than it is. I also pointed this out again, no apologies.

We enjoyed our stay at Wakeup. The staff were welcoming, the rooms quiet and well appointed. I wanted a recommendation for a run and the front staff were quite obliging. We loved how close it was to the meat packing district.

Functional and modern space-agey room, good value for Denmark. Professional staff. Luggage storage is 20DKK lockers in the basement. About 15 mins walking through industrial/office areas from the train station and a similar distance from tourist zones.

If it's raining, it is a long way to get food. No place for your clothes. Have to leave them in suitcase and no place for it. Very difficult to move around in the room. Copenhagen very expensive. Food at least two to three times more expensive than in U.S.

This hotel is a handy overnight spot after cruise. Close to attractions and shopping mall. Rooms are small but all you need for 1 night.

Very modern. Great location. Only issue is that the TV's location in each room is a bit awkward. Room was very clean, so was the bathroom. The shower door was a bit hard to close so water got all over the floor. But hands down one of the best hotels in Copenhagen for the price.

The hotel was small but in a great location. The price was competitive for this destination. We were able to walk to either transportation or the shopping mall. The tiny room gets the job done.

Its in a good central location. 10 minutes walk to central station. Rooms are clean, although small. Not many amenities. Wifi throughout. Hotel desk open 24 hours. bikes to rent from the hotel. Overall this is just a slightly better than average hotel, but considering the price here in Copenhagen, it's hard to beat. I'd stay here again anytime.

Small (very small) room. But it has everything you need for a short stay. Good if you don't plan to spend too much time in the room. Walking distance to the Central Train Station. Get a map from the front desk- you'll need it. Copenhagen's streets are poorly marked; street signs (if they exist at all) are affixed to the side of buildings. The hotel offers inexpensive lockers for your bags if you plan to do some more sightseeing after you check out. Not crazy about Copenhagen; Stockholm is much nicer.

The hotel was very contemporary, clean, fun decor. Rooms are small, but very well planned. Loved the bright colors and polished surfaces. Breakfast was well done, but it would have been nice to have a restaurant on-site for dinner as we arrived after a 10-hour flight from the US and then had to find a restaurant nearby.

I arrived early in the morning @ 10 am, There was not any rooms availabe at that time. They suggested that I store my luggages downstairs in the locker, which is fine. I came back at 1:30pm and got my room. Everything went well. However, I had to go to Tourist Information about getting public transportation to my cruise ship on Sunday. The hotel sugguested I take a taxi to the ship which is very expensive, I was traveling alone. I saved about 75% by taking public transportation.

The room is tiny, no closet space, no place to put your stuff. Tiny bathrooms. Big mistake, will never return to a place like this. The hotel staff was not very helpful.

Hotel is generally clean and common areas are quite nicely furnished and spacious. Standard rooms are small but have the basic necessities and clean toilets. Toiletries are minimal - a small bar of soap and a sachet of liquid soap/shampoo, so you may want to bring your own. The only downsides to this hotel are that they charge for anything extra, including power adapters, and the location is not the absolute best as it is a good 10 to 15-minute walk to Copenhagen's Central train station. There is also no telephone in the room - you have to use the common phone located along the corridor of each floor if you want to contact housekeeping, or make a trip down to the reception yourself. If you're not planning to spend much time in the room and don't require all the extra frills, and don't mind taking a walk to the train station, this hotel will suit you fine. We also enjoyed the option of renting a bicycle for 3 hours in the evening (DKK 50 for 3 hours or DKK 75 for 5 hours after 3pm, and DKK 115 for a full day), and the staff was kind enough to let us return our bikes a little later so that we could take full advantage of the late summer sunset.

Rooms facing the railroad very noisy from trains and cars passing by.

Equivalent of a little studio room say. Location is wonderful! Near a major metro station, right next to Tivoli, design society, the library, and more!

this hotel was like a prison cell. I still wonder the engineer who designed it. The smallest roo mI have ever seen. Other than that the location of the hotel and stuff were great.

Well located, friendly staff and even though the room was small, it was nicely decorated.

The room was microscopic, but modern. There is no free luggage storage which I found a bit strange. The staff wasn't too helpful. The lobby was fun.

My sister and I stayed in this hotel, and it was the best stay I had during our European excursion! The staff was VERY kind, quick, and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, centrally located, easily accessible, and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised, seeing as this was the most fairly priced place I stayed, and the best hotel experience I had. I felt very at home here, and would reccommend it to anyone.... and would even stay there again! My suggestion: rent one of their bikes, and enjoy being close to everything!

For a 2 star hotel is relatively good. The hotel is clean, but depending on the room you get, you can have no view at all (it was our case.) It is very conveniently located, in walking distance to the Central station, which is great for airport access and also for traveling to surrounding areas. It is also in walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Don't miss the Glyptotek, which is just a block away.
