Quaint. Centrally located. Helpful and responsive staff.

Great location, very clean, spacious room, and friendly staff. The breakfast was expensive for the selection of items, and not very good for small children, but the food available, especially the coffee, was excellent.

Friendly staff and great location. The room was nice as well. We loved the courtyard.

Friendly staff and near traditional markets and big shopping center.

Nice clean hotel with good location to metro and train. Very friendly helpful staff

Great location. Not enough variety for breakfast.

Hotel was in a nice residential neighborhood, close to nice cafes, and metro station. Nearby market Torvehallern was very nice for a quick meal. Rooms are very cramped, lacked basic amenities, there were no drapes except for sheers, only one small shelf in bathroom, no shower stall, no safe or refrigerator. We were on second floor, there was a lot of noise and food smells from the courtyard restaurant below. There was no AC, so we had to leave the window open despite the smell and noise. Lobby was small but stylish. Front desk personnel was friendly.

Loved our time at Ibsens! The front desk staff were excellent. Helped us with numerous questions and arrangements. Found a vase for birthday flowers we bought at the market. The breakfast buffet is astounding - organic, extraordinary breads, euro cheeses, salami, soft boiled eggs, yogurt and muesli...all things wonderful. Great coffee. We Tried to stay a second night but they were full. It was hard to leave! They held our luggage for the day while we shopped. Everything was EASY dealing with them. It was a great European experience. Opt for a view of the street instead of the courtyard, which is said to be noisy at night or in the morning. We loved our 5th floor room with 2 twin beds. Bed were super comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean and fresh. Great shower. We were on the fifth floor so we could throw the windows open. Loved it.

Easy access to great restaurants and sites. No problem getting transportation to the pier to catch our cruise.

Our family stayed for 5 nights around New Years. Apparently fire works are a huge tradition in Copenhagen. Seemingly every person buys them because the fireworks started at 5:45pm--yes it is fully dark and when on until about 2am. The barrage at midnight made you think you were in a war zone. But it was great fun to walk a block down to the river and watch fireworks in every direction. The hotel is very clean, in a central location and close to the subway. The staff is amazing and very helpful. There is even a sign in the lobby that says "ask us anything; we have Google". Fun happy hour every day with free beer or wine

I was visiting relatives who were temporarily living in Copenhagen and recommended Ibsens Hotel as it was located on the corner of their block. It was within walking distance of wonderful markets and sites. The hotel offered a scrumptious breakfast each morning with dense breads, jams, pastry oozing with warm chocolate and more.. Staff was exceptionally helpful, responding promptly and kindly to all requests and going beyond what might be expected. It was a lovely warm and welcoming spot.

Amelie at the front desk was a hit with our three year old son!

Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean. The bathroom was efficient, as many European hotel bathrooms are. The location was excellent - we were able to walk to most of our activities and tours. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that there was no air conditioning.

Great stay and location. Would recommend to a friend. Quiet strip location and close to food hall for quick bite. Cozy hour was great and charming way to meet other guests.

Great location - easy walk from Norreport Station. Tons of pubs & food vendors nearby. Hotel was very clean, friendly. Especially liked cozy hour! Didn't have any meals on site but restaurant looked great.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We have on purpose focused on quality rather than quantity for our breakfast buffet. The choice is limited yet the products are purchased from local farmers and mainly organic. You can always let us know about special dietary requirements or items your kids would love. My colleagues from the breakfast team do not mind preparing something extra for you! We hope to see you soon again! All the best, Irene Hunker /Ibsens Hotel

Thank you for reviewing Ibsens Hotel. What can we say - our location is just amazing. If you are travelling for business or pleasure, we are perfectly located for both purposes. Close to all the main sights and close to public transportation. Our breakfast is based on a New Nordic concept. We focus on quality rather than quantity. Our products are locally produced, seasonal and mainly organic. The quality is outstanding. And we think it offers enough to get a good start of the day. Eggs, cheese, charcuterie, porridge, fruit, yoghurt, mysli, bread and pastries, and some lovely local juices. What's not to like. :) We hope to see you another time at Ibsens Hotel. Thank you very much for your review. We love feedback whether it is positive or negative. Of course, we like the positive better. We are happy that you appreciate my nice colleagues at the front desk and the great location of the hotel. Thank you for mentioning. But we are very sorry to read that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. Our bathrooms are of the traditional Danish type - with a shower curtain, not a shower cabinet. At Ibsens Hotel we prioritized space for cupboards, but we made storage space under the beds and added hooks and hangers. The reason is that we learned from the statistics that our guests stay in average approx. 2 days and figured hat most people would prefer space to large cupboards. An in-room safe and a refrigerator are not requirements for a 3-starred hotel, as the Ibsens Hotel is. Maybe next time you should stay at our sister hotel the Hotel Kong Arthur, which is a 4-starred hotel with a longer list of available amenities. Air conditioning is not common in Scandinavia as our climate is rather cold all year round. This year we experience an exceptionally warm summer, but during night times an open window always gives a fresh breeze. We hope to see you again one day, maybe at the Kong Arthur?
