Hotel Copenhagen Crown3.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the station but nicely set back from the road through a courtyard. Its an old building but well modernised inside. The room was small but well maintained, clean and comfortable. The breakfast room on the 5th floor was airy and attractive with a nice but limited variety of food.
I was in this nice hotel only one night. I had a three bed room and it was spacious, clean and in a great location. I always look after the cleanliness when staying and this was clean. The breakfast was great and abundant on the top floor with a beautiful view of the city. The hotel is also close to Tivoli Gardens.
This is charming hotel. It is an older building but the furnishings and conveniences are modern. We nearly didn't book there as some of the reviews were negative. I am glad we went because it was comfortable and clean. There is a sitting room with plenty of room to relax and read. Our room looked out on to a pretty garden. The breakfast room (unlike so many that are in dingy basements) was on the very top floor. The bright sunlight in the mornings was cheering. The selection of breakfast foods was good and plentiful. The staff were all delightful and friendly. There are restaurants nearby and a 7/11 as well as Lidle just down the road. The greatest joy is the pretty elephant sculpture at the entrance!
The hotel is located close to the Central Station and to many popular attractions of the city. The staff is very courteous, helpful and willing to help. Had traveled on work and stayed for a week starting from 22nd June 2017
Stayed 5 nights on business and due to the price of the 5 nights I assumed that the hotel would be to a decent standard. The first room I was put into wasn't too bad until wanting to use the bathroom, that room shouldn't have been rented out. The second room was dark, dingy and the curtains & carpets were heavily stained. There was a persistent smell of drains in the bathroom and plenty of mold in the shower area. In fairness though the hotel was in a great location for restaurants, Tivoli gardens and the office that we needed to visit.
Stayed along with another 35 guys from a football team who visited for a long weekend. The hotel is in a quiet residential area. There is a supermarket round the corner and some small shops, bakery, pizzeria, coffee shop etc which is quite handy. To get to the city centre it is around a 30 min walk or else there is bus / taxi too. The hotel itself is very basic and just what you see in the pictures. We were staying in a room that had an ensuite and slept 4 people which I think was the best one you could get. Overall it's ideal for a few nights or you are in a large group. Don't go expecting the ritz and it will do as a base to explore the lovely city.
We needed a good night sleep before to fly off. Very nice room, good comfort sleep, friendly staff, good the shuttle to the airport. Definitely an hotel to consider if you fly very early in the morning if not living nearby Kastrup.
We stayed here for 3 night over a weekend away. Unfortunatelly, the first room had a smell of sewage from the toilet, but as we arrived there late and were very tired, we didn't ask to change the rooms that night. Next day we asked for another room and the reception were helpful and understanding. We got a new room and even a free bottle of wine :) The location is great, easy access to city centre. The hotel itself needs some updating, but it was good enough as we weren't in Copenhagen to stay in the hotel all day. The breakfast is served in a restaurant on a top floor with a nice view over the city, so get there early to get a table by a window.
As already reviewed by others the location is great for the station and generally getting around. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was a bit of a mixture of good and bad. The linen was clean but the cover had a large stain on it , clearly visible when we arrived and never changed. The bed was comfortable. Although it wasn't particularly hot while we were there the room was warm and we needed to open the windows as there was no fan or aircon. However with the windows open the noise from outside was significant (ear plugs would have been good). Our room on the 3rd floor looked out onto the courtyard which seemed to act as a funnel for noise. Basically noise until around 11:30 pm and from 5am onwards. One could look across and around the courtyard into the other rooms as there were no blinds or net curtains. You either kept the curtains open and felt exposed to other rooms or kept the curtains closed and the lights on which weren't particularly bright. The shower itself was fine but one felt the tiles could have done with a good scrub. The carpet gave the impression that it could do with a good vacuum and clean but this was probably because it was old and needed to be replaced. There were new carpets in some of the corridors. Really felt it could do better but it appeared to be busy so is obviously a popular choice. The breakfast was good.
I stayed here for close to 30 days. The only thing I did not like is the policy of full house-keeping once in 3 days i.e. to say they would change the linens once in 3 days. I did not have breakfast in this hotel so wont be able to comment. I got a very friendly behavior & prompt help from the front desk. Location is great - very close to central train station, hop-on-hop-off bus stops and quite close to shopping malls
