Extended Stay America Columbus - Airport2.5 out of 5.0

Nice place to stay. Rooms are small, but clean. We had a room on the side closest to the highway so it was a little noisy but nothing terrible. Easy access from highway and close to Fort Benning, restaurants and shopping.
Stayed here for a wedding in Columbus Ga. Got a great deal from hotwire. the area was convenient, plenty of parking. One thing the maid staff never brought any fresh towels, so I had to use the same rag over and over. WIFI worked well. Felt pretty safe to me, nothing to special about the place.
Friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Good location off of I-185 with restaurants within an easy drive. I would recommend signing up for the Extended Stay America program - you get emails with up to 40% off of the rooms. I also suggest requesting a room towards the front of the buidling as the back rooms face the interstate and its noise.
I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and support during our stay. We had to evacuate SW Florida due to Hurricane Irma. I had called 7 other hotels in the Columbus area, and the pet friendly hotels would not accommodate us because we had 3 pets. None of them would make any exceptions. I was so frazzled trying to find a place that would allow us to bring our dog and 2 cats, and hotels were quickly booking up. I called and spoke with Shawn the Manager, and he informed me that Extended Stay allows more than 2 pets. I highly commend Extended Stay on this policy. Shawn even gave us a break on the pet fee, which was awesome, especially when upon check out to return home, and you're not quite sure what damages you had incurred from the hurricane. Every single one of the staff were so accommodating on whatever we needed. They were calming and pleasant, even when they themselves were overwhelmed with the abundance of calls they were receiving from evacuees, and guests crammed in the lobby. The room was small, but for the price, you can't complain, and it was very clean, and newly updated. The bed was comfortable, and surprisingly, even though small, they really utilzed every inch to allow you places to put luggage and whatever else out of the way. We had 2 cat carriers, 2 laptop bags, a very large suitcase, a large plastic storage container of evacuation stuff, a carry on suitcase and small tote bag, and we were able to store all of it out of our way. There is also plenty of room in drawers for clothes, as well as a closet area to hang items. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, which was noisier, as it is the highway side, but even still, the noise wasn't too bad considering. The kitchen area is tiny, but functional, and the staff provided us kitchenware to use, plus a coffee maker, toaster and whatever else we needed. They were more than happy to accommodate us on whatever we needed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of the staff for everything. We highly recommend you.
We have had the pleasure of meeting new and very kind people throughout our journey. Living on the road and staying in hotels can be a bit overwhelming but when you have positive and genuine people around you then it makes it much easier. Ebony and NeNe (sp?) have been great throughout our stay already. Tomorrow we will make another move to be further away from the storm.
Last minute traveling got us here. I didn't know what to expect. So I was pleased to feel " at home" in our room. The room is small yet cozy, very clean and affordable. The property is easily visible from the interstate, however; we had a little trouble finding the driveway. This motel is at the back of a driveway shared by another hotel and a restaurant/bar parking lot .
Great stay for a weekend getaway! Would recommend for future trips. Economical for last minute planning. Convenient to airport, restaurants, and shopping. Property was newly renovated and well kept. Staff was friendly, professional, and very informative.
The room accommodations were so poor that we left immediately and checked in to a nearby hotel. The room was extremely dated and the linens were dingy. There was a great deal of foot traffic, people roaming the parking lot. I didn't feel safe at all.
Horrible room cleanliness and service. I had to hunt down room cleaning services. Mold smell in room. Old and stained bathroom sink. Leaking AC units throughout the entire build, both inside and outside.
In all my years of traveling and staying long periods of time in hotels, this was THE MOST IMPRESSIVE hotel I've stayed at! You can not find a better hotel at a better price! Actually, you can't find a better hotel at twice the prices! 100% awesome stay!
