Nicest room hotel experience! Room was incredible, very comfortable. Staff was outstanding
We got upgraded to a junior suite which was a very pleasant surprise. The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. I love the bathroom, there were 2 shower heads, a separate tub that was a great way to relax in. I would definately stay here again.
Very nice hotel! In walking distance to alot of good restaurants, There s a theater even near by. Very quite slept really well. Nice staff,
Staff friendly and helpful..food great...room very nice love the shower lounge area very nice with soft comfortable seats n lots of space for everyone...nice excise room and spa..looking forward to going back there
This was a surprising experience. The hotel is in a great location and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The lobby is quite spacious and was bustling at happy hour. Our room was a standard king room and the bathroom was quite large and nice. The bedroom was medium sized and also very nice. We would definitely stay in the hotel again. For the money, it was a very good value.
Stylish, architecturally interesting. Best bed ever. Friendly, very helpful staff. Interesting lighting. Dog friendly.
This was an overnight stay. Very comfortable but wish there was food and drink options later in the evening. We were very disappointed with that.
First when my husband and I arrived, we got a room on the second floor that had new granite all around but very bad dirty carpet and the view was the roof of the floor..on top of it all there were unexplained clicks all night that woke us up..afyer pointing this out to the hotel customer service crew the next morning we got upgraded to a fifth floor suite that changed my whole perspective on the hotel. We had a wonderful view on the 4th of July fireworks. Also, hotel has a wonderful long, and bar and several restaurants and can Allie seating area that I just loved !!! Say hi to the wonderful concierge that was very helpful and knowledgeable every time regarding everytjing happening in Colorado spring!
Came up for a smooth jazz concert in town. I have stayed here in the past and wanted to come back. The staff are attentive, the rooms are very comfortable, and beds are comfortable and inviting. The restaurant has delicious meals. The price is a bit steep, but the hotel sponsoring the jazz concert was much more expensive. For the amenities here, I feel this is a very good deal!
Wonderful historic building with full modern amenities. We loved our stay and will return.
Overall my wife and I enjoyed the hotel and the staff was very courteous and nice. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs so you are in walking distance of many restaurants, breakfast, and lunch places. Parking is not an issue either. The hotel can valet the car but that costs about $18, or you can just drive it to a near by parking garage which is about 60 yards from the hotel. It costs $1 on the weekends to park there and during the week it costs $6 to $7 max a day. The hotel has a Spa and a gym if you are looking for that. We did not go but both facilities looked great. Free wifi in the rooms, and the beds are comfortable and we heard no noise at nice, very peaceful. The restaurant in the hotel had great food at a good price. We ate there for dinner and breakfast once. The hotel view out our window was a little bit disappointing as we looked at the wall of the hotel, but we were not in our hotel room much at all. The hotel is close to several great places to visit (will need a car to drive there though). But it is within 10 to 20 minutes of the US Olympic Training Center, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, Cog railway, Broadmoor and a few other places. Very close access to highway 24 which takes you to several locations. If I had to point out a downside, I would say if you are looking for a hotel that gives you that feel like you are in the mountains or country side, this is not the place. You are probably better off staying at the Broadmoor or I believe there is a Mountain Resort some where a well, with that said you will also be paying more. We actually spent part of the day at the Broadmoor, so you can still go to that place and experience without paying the high nightly fees. I would recommend a visit to the Broadmoor it is spectacular scenery. Now if you are not going to spend a lot of time in your hotel at all and just need a place to sleep, then you can find cheaper alternatives. If you have the time, I also recommend taking a 2 hour drive to Breckenridge. The drive has some great views, and Breckenridge is a great place to visit and hangout for the day.
Everyone was so kind and helpful. Valet was very helpful with directions.
Truly an excellent experience. The building were this hotel resides was the old Mining Exchange of Colorado Spings and has been beautifully renovated in a mixture of modern and western styles. It is centrally located a few steps from Tejon street, where you can find plenty restaurants, shopping and very charming little squares with benches. The service is superb and the ambiance cheerful. All in all, we will return whenever we go to Colorado Springs again!
Pleasure to stay here springs orleans steak is fantastic!
My significant other and I decided to get away for Christmas night and stayed at the Mining Exchange. At check in we received a complimentary upgrade on our room, which was so beautiful and comfortable that after dinner we ended up just hanging out in the room! We would definitely stay here again!
Being that it was halloween and my wife was attending a costume party downtown, the location was perfect. Kinda wish there would have been a mini-fridge, but , no complaints
THE MINING EXCHANGE IS A TOP OF LINE HOTEL!! VERY COMFORTABLE AND LAID BACK. HOTEL STAFF AMAZING!! VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE AREA. HOTEL ROOMS FIT THE QUOTE, "CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS" I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL HIGHLY!!
We stayed here on our vacation and we're right in the middle of everything. Bartender was a little stiff, but the food and drinks were good. Staff was very helpful with directing us to good restaurants, good value, good food, great attractions, best routes, etc. We'll definitely be looking The Mining Exchange up for our next trip to Colorado Springs.
We are locals who were looking for a unique hotel experience in the downtown area within a short walking distance of dining and martini bars. The Mining Exchange is far beyond the typical hotel with distinct room design and comfortable and unique decor and furniture. It is close to the best downtown establishments and the staff ensures you are well looked after. It made for a fun little weekend escape.
Hotel was beautiful! Very comfortable. Staff was amazing. Helped me out with special request. Went above and beyond. Front desk staff in particular. Very hospitable, made you feel special.
