This quaint, well maintained, remodeled, one bed-room, one bath home just a few blocks from everything downtown is an absolutely excellent alternative to hotels or motels for a quiet, enjoyable, private vacation. It is well equipped for relaxing, cooking or whatever you may want to do if you choose to spend a day or evening at the home instead of venturing out; is a short driving distance to most sites or events you'll probably want to see; and walking distance to downtown shopping and dining - (LOL but be aware it is a nice uphill walk to get home if you are tired or had a little too much to drink).
A few things we would suggest to the owners especially for the colder or bad weather months (as we experienced when we first arrived) - the natural wood floors are beautiful - BUT, it would be NICE to have some type of rug, carpeting or non-slip surface by the back door until you can get your shoes off (we took the carpet mat from the back of my truck to use) when there is "ice and snow"!!
With the "back or side door / porch" being the main entrance - it would be nice to have (and a great liability coverage) a handrail by the steps or stairs especially with the "ice and snow" like we had on our arrival. We ended up "using the pipe" - which is a natural gas pipe to avoid falling that first night and second day until we had the ice under control. They should also have a snow shovel available - we went to Walmart to get one to clear the walk.
