I had a very warm welcome by the staff, who were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was lovely. Even though the decor is somewhat dated it is very clean. The only real downside was the room could have done with a kettle.

The staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood which has the advantage of being quiet. It's also within easy walking distance of a small neighbourhood that is trendy with lots of cafes, restaurants.

Our first impression was awful as we spent 45 minutes convincing the receptionist we actually had a booking, even getting hotels.com involved. When she finally gave us our room it was the wrong one and there was no apology, just the impression we were imposing on her. In fact, all staff I encountered were rude and suspicious. The room was ok, though 2 single beds put together to make a double and very dated furniture. I wouldn't stay again.

The hotel is situated in a cute little city in Cologne. It is situated right next to a coffee shop that opens early and has delicious coffee, gelato, sandwiches and pastries! You can also take a beautiful walk and be near grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, stores, etc. Highly recommend this place!
