The hotel offer rudimentary services, but in a stylish atmosphere at reasonable prices. Located close to center, it is relatively new with bigger than normal rooms. Not a top hotel. but surely better than the relatively run-down other options close to the center. Looking at the price-quality-ratio, a good deal.
Close to most of the attractions. Very personalized experience. Right next to river. Close to Messe. Euro 10 cab ride to the Dom, Messe. Decent food options in the Hotel. One star less because the room wasn't ready until 3pm, which was understandable but very painful.
Great location - right next door to one of the Christmas markets and the Lindt chocolate factory. A pleasant easy walk to the centre, I prefer to be slightly away from the main tourist area of pubs, clubs and bars so this was a spot on location. We had a nice clean and spacious room. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception offered a small side plate of stollen for guests to snack on which was a nice touch. Convenient petrol station opposite too if you want water and snacks. Don't buy water in the hotel €7, I thought he was joking 🙃😂 he wasn't! Didn't overly enjoy the food we got from room service so never ordered it again. Really only wanted a nice clean and comfortable place to put our head down after a day of being out and about. This place fitted the bill. Would recommend if looking for same kind of accommodation. I'd go again.
Beautiful hotel and reasonably priced. Bar Staff good and restaurant is excellent. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Only thing missing is an iron int he room for shirts. I left my business phone in the room and the staff arranged for this to be sent to my address in Scotland so happy to say they go above and beyond.
This modern hotel is perfect for a short stay. The location is very interesting but a little outside of the center. You can walk to the center in 15 minutes along the great river Rhine. The rooms are nice and have a normal size. The service is normal and ok. The staff on the front desk are nice and helpful. The infrastructure is not great in case of fitness and relaxing, a small lobby is around the front desk. The restaurant is ok but nothing special, the staff is friendly but a little unorganized. The best part are the rooms which have all you need and they look modern and fresh. Get the room to the river side. Overall a good hotel for a short business stay or to visit the great city of Cologne.
it is a business hotel in a modern building with view on the river . Rooms are okay in size and equipment , modern with little personality . My biggest concerns after having spent five nights are related to cleaning , I shall say that that is not a major point and in my room I also found two small insects peacefuly going around on the walls, thing that I reported while checking out to a lady not so much interested in my problem. Staff , this hotel looks to me as it is run with really little staff so they are overcharged and things might take time especially during fair days when the hotel is full. I had room service and quality of food was okay , Breakfast is good but nothing to be thrilled of. No outside service so when you will arrive you have to climb the stairs with suitcases as nobody will help you . S-Bahn closer station is 600 meters away ,If I should use an adjectif to comment this property I would use "anonymous"
So i know this hotel from past i have been staying there several times. i am also club carlson member ( higgest level). SO hotel is ok bussines hotel 3-4 stars depend of the room you get. location is good , at least i liked it. problem i have faced is reception work. i have booked three rooms for me an my colleges with visa card ( important detail). when checking out , and i checked out earlier that two other rooms i paid the bill for all three rooms with my mastercard. all my extras i have paid in cash. after arriving home ( aprx 6 hours later) my master credit card was charged fro 100 eur.!? i have called the hotel to see what happend. reception girl ( Kristina was kind, have to say) told me somebody smoked in room. since i have never smoked in my life i understand that this is not me for sure. then she found that on of the collegues smoked in the room. Well first of all i didn't give my card for extras i have just paid the rooms. but the hotel decide they can use my card as they want. that really makes me very angry. i demand to get my money back as this has nothing to do with me first and nobody even called me or telll me or whatever... so Kristina told me she will talk to manager and see what they can do. in few minutes she said they will send me money back. in 15 minutes nothing happend, so i have called again. Phone pick up a lady and she said Kristina has left home... she introduce herself as manager ( maybe she said the name but i didn't hear it). she said she know story and that she send my money back to my card. i said ok i will check and let her now. Than i received message from my bank that hotel CHARGED again my account with another 100 Eur instead of returning they charge me again. You can imagine how did i fell after that. I have called manager again but she didn't want to hear my story constantly repeating that she send money back . she was very rude, tone has changed a bit when explain her that i stay in hotels more than 70 nights per year and i am concierge member not one time traveller.... still she said she did all and i am wrong. i said i can send you my banks sms or bank info but she said she is not interesting in that as she send money. well i have called my bank after to see if she really did something... of course not,.. my account is charged twice for something nothing to do with me... i can understand all is possible , some trainee doesn't know how to return money but they charged again,etc.... but arogance from manager( or maybe is just one of the receptionist) is not acceptable for me. .
Great location about an 8-10 minute walk to the alstadt centre and the christmas markets. It is located on the river beside the chocolate museum. The hotel is really modern and stylish but also really cosy. We visited in december and it was warm and inviting. The rooms are spotless great showers, comfy bed, good wardrobe space, deskn vanity area. Large television and nice range of lighting in the room. The bar area is very small but all you really need. We didnt dine in the Chino latin restaurant during our stay but we did have breakfast included in our room rate. The breakfast was great!! Buffet style with a superb selection, absolutely everything one could wish for. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. I would certainly stay again it made our trip to cologne even lovelier.
We stayed for three nights over New Year and really liked the hotel. It is in a good location - close to public transport links, and a fifteen minute walk along the banks of the Rhine to the main station. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the heating system a little loud. We found it strange that the sink was in the main room rather than the bathroom, but soon got used to it. The shower was fabulous and nice toiletries were provided. Wifi worked well in our room. We had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar which was quiet but had a good cocktail menu. Would highly recommend this hotel as a good option for a base when sightseeing in Cologne.
The hotel was lovely, but was disappointed, the coffee machine didnt work, the heating was broken. No solution to the coffee machine and they bought blow heaters which wasnt great as it meant we were freezing when we woke
