With location on the edge of city centre cologne, this hotel offers all you need for a great stay. Big rooms with supreme comfort. Breakfast is a wide variety of choices. Close the window, you won't notice the heavy traffic during rush hours. When using the garden, you won't notice the traffic

Third time at Cologne and there's always new things to see. Novotel fullfilled our expectation, close to several points of interest. Special thanks to Lucas at reception for friendly and helpfull support.

Pros: 1) Recent renovation 2) Very Friendly Staff 3) Good location This hotel had a very recent renovation, hence the rooms are super new. Although this hotel is located on the main street, the rooms are super quiet. It has a novo2 restaurant which serves good food. The tram station is 8 minutes walking distance (Ubierring: U16 to Cologne Central Station), The taxi would cost around 10 to 11 Euros. Staff is very co-operative and friendly.Excellent in terms of hospitality Cons: Little less choice for Vegetarians for breakfast

They say that Cologne is a friendly city.. and everyone I met there really was. The staff were all welcoming and kind.. and the restaurant waiters and waitress just amazing. We had superior rooms, massive TVs where the sound was even in the bathroom!! Comfy beds, tea on the house to make in the room.. just great. I only stay at Novotels if I can.

We stayed here a number of times before and this time were very (!!) pleasantly surprised to find the room having been refurbished completely. A very large wall mounted tv (mainly German and some other international channels) new comfy beds, great walk in shower and overall nice furnishings. There were some small issues with the room, that we only discovered when we had unpacked an prepared for the night. The USB ports to charge phone/tablet near the bed were not working and neither were the small lights. The staff offered to move us to another room, but we chose to stay, given that we didn't want to pack everything again. Staff overall very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is quite extensive although they no longer provide freshly squeezed orange juice or any waffles. It is still our favorite Cologne hotel and we would come again.

A very nice hotel within walking distance to the old town. Breakfast was great and lobby area was comfy, with things to do for kids (both young and older) - as you would expect at a Novotel. Staff were pleasant, if a little bit on the serious side - not quite as freindly as the locals, but always professional. Only negative was the sofabed, which our 2 teenagers slept on. It was not really suitable for them and not as good as other Novotels we have stayed in. However, this did not spoil the trip.

First visit to Germany and we loved this hotel . On the first night we turned right and started walking to get our "bearings" and ended up in a great place full of locals but 2nd night we turned left and we got to the place to be shopping and restraunts etc.. Hotel was lovely massive tv but limited engligh channels but to be expected ..hairdryer was just as good as the parlux I lugged all the way over!! Gym with the view of canals yaughts was great sauna didnt work during our stay and cards in the elevators was a bit annoying but not too much compared with the highlights. Typical germany very effecient ! Lindt factory across the road shopiing a ten minute walk . Late checkout (5pm)free of charge . Apple mac with printing in the lobby for use free of charge. The opposite of a Irish hotel that annoyingly charges for absolutely everything. Love Cologne ..looking forward to a return trip to shop .

Near the river Rhine and close to major work places. A cozy, very clean room. Friendly staff. But expensive breakfast. Unfortunately no close by breakfast place or cafes. A little farther to the Dom but if you like to walk than walk by the Rhein river and enjoy the view.

Despite having a great location, being walking distance away from the Dom and main city attractions and having modern & renovated rooms, our Novotel stay was rather disappointing. The pillows in our room were one of the worst pillows I slept on at a hotel as they were incredibly thin. When we asked the Reception for extra pillows, they simply told us that they did not have any. On our second night, we came back to the room to find out that room service only 'made' our bed but did not (1) empty the bins in the room (2) tidy or even hang the towels we threw on the sofa to dry (3) take away the empty water bottles (4) refill the minibar with water. These things may be overseen at a hostel or a cheap b&b, but at almost 100Eur per night, I would expect better service from a chain as reputable as Novotel.

In 15 minutes walking besides Rein river from Cologne Dom and the main rail station also the Cologne main shopping station, you will catch Novotel Hotel in Cologne. I very good, clean, with nice and helpful staff, good speed internet, best room services, high quality sleep , high quality beds, beautiful lobby, wonderful continental breakfast and beautiful view to Rein river. You will love you stay in Novotel Koeln City hotel for sure!
