The place is a major dump. There was no Wifi!!
I strongly suggest that Corporate conduct a site visit or send a manager from sister property in the Cleveland area. The specific and general physical conditions of this property were unacceptable for the Travel Lodge brand. Had I more time on-site - I would have taken photos. A huge disappointment
Clerk at front desk took my ID and credit card and was going to copy them on a copy machine -
I had a reservation through Orbitz. Even so, this slum property charged me an extra $125.98. Not cool.
The mismatch between the photo and the room I slept in was quite severe, but then I wouldn't expect anybody to photograph the dirty, degrading room I was given. I had a lot of stuff with me and didn't want to change rooms once I was in, so I didn't ask to do that -- the staff were very friendly and probably would have done their best to help, but judging from what I saw, the rest of the rooms were also going to be substandard, if not quite as disgusting as the one I was in. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in *years*. There was black mold in the tub and no proper way to keep the water in it. Walls were stained and had large cracks, and some ceiling tiles were likewise stained and broken. The a/c worked great, and the staff were friendly. But it was gross. Gives Travelodge a bad name.
This hotel has been CLOSED since July 31st, 2020 because it is housing COVID-19 patients. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Orbitz allowed me to book a reservation and now will not refund my money. Shame on you Orbitz for taking advantage of innocent bystanders during a devastating global pandemic.
Room was extremely shabby. No bedbugs or anything, but needs a lot of work for upkeep. Staff was generally polite and helpful. Breakfast was so-so, some fresh fruit but no eggs or meat. Area is scary at night.
Could use a some landscaping. And some updating. But the rooms were clean and comfortable
Noon checkout time is good. Maid service was terrible.
It was very quiet and clean..bed was soft room was very nice clean the air worked lots of TV channels
There was absolutely nothing to like about this hotel. The desk clerk was nice but couldn’t help with cancelling my reservation. Wyndom, Irbitz and this hotel are falsely advertising. This place looks nothing like the picture. This hotel needs to be removed from the selection or at least update your picture so people can see this is a horrible hotel. I and my children did not stay here and I do not expect any charges on my card. We looked at one of the rooms and I immediately started coughing because it was dirty and dusty. I don’t plan to use Orbitz again either because they couldn’t cancel my reservation when I spoke with them.
The property looks old, not renovated. There was big leak right on top of the breakfast area, I reported and the lady said, "oh that's not good". The ceiling had a big stain right in that area so it didn't seem to me that it was the first time that it leak. Luckily for me and my family we did not eat there none of the days during our stay. The carpet in my room was not properly vacuum and I told the room attendant and she argued with an attitude to me that it was vacuum and I told her that if it was I wouldn't be complaining about it. I took my complaint to the front desk and when we return in the afternoon it was finally properly vacuum. Kudos to the front desk staff, they were always very helpful. The area seems to be safe since it is in a residential area, easily accessible to restaurants. But do to the leak and the room attendant's attitude, I would not be staying there anymore.
It's clean and inexpensive. The location is near the Lake and close to restaurants. It's also a quick commute to downtown in the morning and back in the evening. The parking lot is small. Not made for large vehicles. And the exterior could use a face lift. But it was overall a satisfactory stay.
Staff was helpful and pleasant. Room was small, dark, unpleasant colors, not well vacuumed. Carpet appeared worn and dingy. Carpet either needed cleaned or replaced. Otherwise room was clean.
