Great services from staffs, especially front office and housekeeping. The room physical is not good because the ceiling in my room (shower room) has moldy. The internet speed is not up to my satisfaction
If you consider a branded hotel choice in Chiang Mai, I think this place is one of the most decent choices with decent room rates. (I have stayed in three other hotels/hostels in Chiang Mai previously.) Many components are really ‘decent’ and there is almost nothing to complain. Things are very organized, and staff seem to be experienced with handling big groups efficiently. Breakfast, housekeeping, room condition, staff service, all common areas, among others, are well kept. Also nicely located, not being far from the old district of the city.
Our room was upgraded to a higher level in Building 3 due to our Accor membership, the room was a very strange and awkward design though still better than many Ibis rooms we've stayed at in other countries. A very noisy room as we could hear the loud music from the restaurant/night club below until late into the night as well as heavy traffic noise. Not sure if the windows were double glazed. The hotel attracts large travel groups so the breakfast room was busy and not always kept tidy and well stocked. The staff were always helpful and did their best to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is OK, too far to walk to the city center though cheap enough to catch a Grab or Uber. Plenty of good eating places within easy walking distance. I'd recommend this hotel for a short stay of just 1 or 2 days, we stayed 5 nights and it was a bit cramped for our comfort.
I made an online booking via AccorHotel website for 1 family room, but at check in time, the receptionist said the hotel was upgrading my room into 2 superior twin, because of all family room was fully-booked. I don't understand, how could this happen, since my online-booking for family room was stated successfully. I think, it's not all about to be the up grade, but the experience staying in family room and the hotel commitment are the most important. Anyhow, the bedroom was clean and spacious but not with the bathroom. Hotel didn't serve the halal menu, so for moslem traveler, you can choose bread and jam with tea or coffee for your breakfast. The location is about 15-20 minutes driving (without traffic jam) from airport, and near from MAYA mall. High speed internet connection with time limitation, one password for one device, as long as staying period. Receptionist building was situated in different building with the hotel room.
I spent 6 nights at IBIS Styles and enjoyed my stay. Located on a busy corner ment there was some road noise but not detrimental to a good night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast had a very good selection and was very enjoyable. Being some 5km out of the centre meant grabbing a "red car" or "Grab taxi" as passing tuk tuks were scarce on the ground.
Clean rooms, and modern design. The staff speak amazing English and are helpful. I They forgot the basics like plugs next to the bed, a bedside table big enough to hold more than their phone. Also the bathroom door has horizontal vents throughout so it does nothing as a sound barrier.
We couln't sleep because noise. AC was terible and windows were so thin and bad that we hear motorbikes, cars and planes like at the street. We asked to change room to a back side and had to pay for it but the result was the same, no sleep. Small pool. Breakfast with disco music and flies on the fruit.
The room was okay but a bit dark, there was not enought light. Breakfast was several choices for selection. Helpful staffs. Far from downtown where tourist attraction but there was no problem for transportation because of Uber and Grab are also availble and resonable price.
I stayed there for a night on educational trip. The hotel is located in a good location not far from major attractions. You can go Nim Man road by taxi or shuttle bus (red). The room is good. The hotel provides standard amenities and facilities. The bathroom is separated into toilet and shower section. Wifi signal is very weak. I cannot connect to wifi. Breakfast is good. There are various choice but the area is small. The waiters/esses are helpful. There is parking lot but not for a big bus. It's another choice if you do not want to stay in a heart of the city. However, the staff should find the way to handle with problem more effectively.
Service was good. Receptionist very friendly. Room not so comfortable, toilet doors is partition-style type in which causes sight inconveniences to the human nose. Aircon very noisy when adjust to lower temperature. Hotel Wi-Fi connection not so strong tend to slow down at night. Phone Cellular is blocked by thick walls.
