Thapae Loft was the perfect hotel for me due to its location. The hotel is tucked away down an alley away from the busy Old Chiang Mai area. The room was spacious with complimentary snacks and water. The front desk personnel were very welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Excellent location at Thaphae with very good value

Excellent location if you plan if exploring the old town is your main purpose. We got the room on 2nd floor, room is of good time. Reception & concierge service is adequate and there is unlimited supply of bottled water. If really to criticize, the water pressure of the shower is not strong. But for the price, it is very good value!

수영장이 깨끗하고 조용해서 풀빌라 같은 느낌이 있는 호텔로 방이 좀 어두운 게 흠이라고 할 수 있는데 암막커튼을 활짝 열면 괜찮은 듯. 우린 창문이 자외선 틴트가 있는 창문인 줄 모르고 첫 날은 암막커튼을 닫고 있었는데 나중에 암막 커튼을 여니깐 훨씬 나았음. 스태프는 매우 친절하고 항상 미소로 맞이해 주었음. 골목 안에 위치해서 시끄럽지 않고 위치도 좋습니다. 더울 때 수영도 하고 편하게 잘 머물다 갑니다.

The staff and the hotel itself was very nice, it was centrally located and everything was in walking distance . The hotel bed was comfortable and in a quiet location. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful design of the hotel, and lovely pool. The thing that knocks it down a bit is that the beds were incrediblely hard. I like a firm bed but I had to get extra mattress covers just to be able to sleep.

Modern loft hotel in great old city location

we loved the location in the heart of beautiful Chiang Mai, the hotel in general (very modern) and the room a lot. the only annoying part has been that you only get one room key and therefor cannot let the a/c run when you are out of the room (as neutral cards did not work).

Great location, sewage smell

We picked this hotel because of location, price, very high ratings, and the beautiful photos. However, on the first night we realized that the booking was a mistake when we noticed globs of hair on the shower stall wall, and a constant smell of sewage from the bathroom. We kept the bathroom door closed which helped the situation, also noted that the hot water was just barely hot enough for a nice shower. One night the hot water did go out completely, to their credit the service team did fix the problem immediately. Watch out for mosquitos...as soon as we entered the room, we were bitten! We considered finding alternate accommodations but last minute options were limited, so we decided to stay in the end as we typically spend most of our time outside of our room when traveling and use the room for sleeping only. The free bottled water was unlimited which we appreciated very much because of the heat, and the reception and security guard on premise were very friendly. The location was very convenient to Tha Pae Gate and the walking street which was the number one reason for choosing this hotel.
