Very clean room. Furnishings were in good condition. The only complaint would be that they should add more food choices to the continental breakfast.
Shoddy, noisy, claustrophobic feel, unpleasant check-in. TV, bed fair; shower good. Good location.
Good location. Lots of places to eat nearby. Clean rooms. plenty of parking. Overall, great hotel for the price
The room was dirty, there were used and dirty linen in tbe room, I didn't feel safe in the room so I had a chair in front of the door for security, and I did not want to sleep in the bed because I was itching due to bed bugs. It was horrible.
The floor of the second floor of building is made of wood, so you hear loud creaks and cracks every time someone takes a step. Therefore, if you are assigned to a room on the first floor, you will not sleep a wink in this hotel. Also, carpet dingy, paint peeling off walls, most light bulbs burned out, no available outlets anywhere to plug in phone. Bathroom was the only nice aspect of the experience - new bathtub and good shower head and pressure. Otherwise, this building needs the wrecking ball. Much more "econo" than "lodge."
Comfortable bed, table and chairs so I could work in my room, internet access, and no street or parking lot noise. Nothing luxurious, but entirely satisfactory.
Parking was a nightmare. The front parking had no turn around so you had to back all the way up if there wasn't a spot!
Easy to check in. Room clean and comfortable. This is a no frills hotel but a very good value. Would stay again.
Had an early hospital appointment and a long drive from home. Needed a place to stay close to UVA at a good price. This worked out well. Not as quite as I would of liked but was OK. Had a good TV and the room was clean. Would use it again if I had the same requirements.
Very convenient access to highways and mall shopping, albeit 10-15 minutes from UVA. A lot of stuff squeezed into a cramped room, but very utilitarian!
The room was so small, and so congested, that the two of use hardly fit into it, and it took us a good 10 minutes to maneuver things out of the way so that we could find an outlet to plug in a laptop computer.
Went and visited Monticello. Good location. Easy walk to several restaurants.
Convenient for just a shower and nights sleep. It is the 2nd time we stayed after a late Football game.
Old, dark and dingy. Good for sleeping but nothing else. Not enough outlets to plug in typical traveler electronics. This is a 2-storey motel; when the people in the room above us walked on their floor, the creaking sounds were so loud as to be scary.
The place is old, and expensive. Found a rotten sausage in the fridge and when I was picking up my phone off the floor it was so full of stuff. They don't really clean. Staff was ok. Bed not too comfy. The place looks sketchy. I should've just paid a couple of $$ extra and stayed in a nicer place
I needed something cheap. The Econo Lodge was that. It also smelled funny and was generally uncomfortable, but the staff was nice enough.
We recently stayed 2 nights at this motel. We were job hunting, and on a budget, so this place fit the bill. But don't expect a perfectly clean room, or cushy bed, or anything more than bagels and toast for breakfast. The bathtub was poorly resurfaced, the tissue box kept falling off the wall, the light cords did not reach the outlets. The Japanese restaurant next door had some kind of really loud late night party until after 2AM. But the water pressure was great.
This hotel is located next to the Aberdeen Barn restaurant, NOT adjacent to Lambeth. The location is a short drive to the arena and University, but not an easy walk. It's Econolodge, so the room is basic. The bathtub was peeling its glaze, and only somewhat clean. There were many patches in the walls, but at least the holes were patched. There were no bugs which is impressive for Charlottesville in June. I would probably spring for the Cavalier Inn on my next visit.
Shower didn't work. Over all bad hotel old bed sheets advertise breakfast. They had muffins
This hotel is by far the worst one that I have ever stayed in and definitely not worth the money. Room was dirty, including carpet, bathroom and beds. Has obviously not been renovated in years. In the morning, there was cigarette smell in bathroom even though it was a non-smoking room. Apparently it was coming from an adjacent room. Our allergies do not allow for the smoke. I definitely do NOT recommend it!
