Hotel is nice and shuttle to airport 24hour service. But I stayed in room 315 on 6/4 and when I got up in morning to take a shower this must have been a handicap shower and had mold on shower wall and bathroom wall, but had no time to ask for new room had to leave to catch flight. Pictures below

Out all day to return tried to an unmade room. Otherwise enjoyed stay.

The hotel's appearance looked very nice but I was not impressed with the room, for the price. There was a substantial water leak mark in the ceiling in the bathroom and the bed wasn't all that comfortable, nor the pillows. I stayed here only because i needed shuttle service in the early morning to the airport and they were the only ones that offered this service in the area.

Two complaints: 1) Room had "stuffy, musty" like smell that improved by turning up the A/C 2) Exercise room had minimal equipment and needs to be updated, enlarged, and improved from my standpoint. Certainly doesn't fit the size of the hotel for 2016

Nice and quiet. Could use some upgrade of facility.

The hotel is very close to Monticello, UVA and the market mall but far enough away to not be impacted by the congestion of those sites. Exercise room OK, but tough to do laps in a kidney-shaped pool. Restaurant breakfast prices good - dinner, a little expensive

I absolutlely love the warm cookies and friendly staff when checking in... I find it to be very comforting after the skuttlebutt of traveling.. The smiling faces at the front desk, the coziness of the rooms and comfort of the beds, made this girl very happy. The location is very good and easy to find! I'll be back!!

There are not a lot of nice places to stay in Charlottesville. The Double Tree tops the list for the price. The room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable, the pillows fluffy, and the towels thick. We had room service that was quick and the food delicious.

The hotel was great. Very clean. very helpful staff at front desk. Nice pool, jacuzzi and work out area.

The hotel room is dated and bathtub grouting needs to be looked at as it is moldy in the corner.

Nice hotel. Only complaint is that it is overpriced. Sadly, they know there are not many hotels in town so they charge what they want. I am staying in West Richmond next time and driving into Richmond. Better hotel at much less $.

I was traveling a bit farther north late one night with my daughter and decided to stop in Charlottesville. I have been to this hotel many times for various conferences and went to school in the area. This is always one of the most welcoming places to come (no matter the time at night) and the night time attendant did their best to find me the best rate as quick as possible to accommodate me and my sleeping daughter. And, the hot cookies never disappoint!

This was an excellent choice. Staff was very helpful. Shuttle to local sites and venues was a great bonus. All things considered, we'd stay there again.

Had to have my daughter at the hospital the next day and she was able to rest thank you

My daughter was able to rest before her Dr. Appointment. Thank you

Hotel was very clean and nice. Wanted a quick weekend getaway to lovely Charlottesville and Doubletree is a great location to downtown and wineries. Highly recommended and will use again for UVA football games this fall.

The complimentary breakfast for being a gold member was amazing, plus the added benefit of the free cocktails! I felt like a king!

The hotel itself is inviting and lovely lobby. The staff are professional but warm and welcome you back as a return customer. Check in was a breeze, room comfortable, clean, had all the amenities except would suggest they add a magnifying mirror to the bathroom. Easy access to everything around Charlottesville from the hotel, restaurants and shops close by. Good loation to base from when you visit C'ville.

My only recommendation is better signage in order to find access. Had a difficult time finding it during night time.

We went to Charlottesville to catch the UVA basketball game. The hotel was nice and the room was comfortable. I stayed on the ninth floor executive level and they included complimentary drinks 24/7 and light hors d'oeuvres throughout the day. Also Wi-Fi was complementary. All this for a great price!
