The cottage was so cozy and inviting with a lovely courtyard space. The building was a former kitchen that has been renovated into an apartment while keeping the historic charm. The location is spectacular - quiet, walkable and the owners are very responsive. I’ll definitely stay here on my next visit to Charleston.

Delightful Cottage

Loved our stay! Quiet, cool, relaxing! Interior staircase could be an issue if one is not able-bodied, but exterior stairs are straightforward and a good way to bring in overnight bags. Lovely, cozy space to relax after a day of sightseeing and shopping. We parked our vehicle, utilizing provided parking permits, and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Perfect location south of Broad!! Definitely recommend!!

Historic gem in perfect location!

We are lovers of historic properties. The Middletons' was absolutely that. It was comfortable, quiet, and very private. We loved the garden area. Perfect location to explore Charleston. We had a wonderful time. One suggestion is the bathroom could use some TLC.

Perfect Location

We planned a last minute trip to Charleston and were able to book this cozy cottage in the most perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere, restaurants on East Bay, the Battery and City Market. The bed was so comfortable and the courtyard was perfect for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. The petite kitchen was suitable for a light breakfast just make sure you have patience while using the stove. Would definitely book again! Thanks for a great visit!

Quaint, historic, with great location

The good: Perfect spot for exploring historic Charleston. Very cozy and very historic cottage. Clean. Cool MCM kitchenette. Comfy bed. Cute old shower. Not so good: Street parking resulted in parking up to 3 blocks away, several times. Stairs were tight. This is definitely not a place for someone who cannot walk alot or climb a ladder-like stairway. Wifi was completely unreliable. Couldn't use the gas fireplace because it seemed to be leaking and caused a concerning smell. Person who "checked us in" would not respond to my call/texts.

Fantastic Location

Great location in the historic area of Charleston. We were lucky to have found this. You have to go up and down stairs between the living room and the bedroom/bathroom. Those who are stair challenged should find another place.

Judy and Phillip were awesome. The cottage was in a perfect location, clean and fun. Enjoyed evenings on the patio with wine and snacks. Also the Breakfast Treats were perfect left by the host. We would say with Judy and Phillip again.
