Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Coralville - Iowa City

Rooms were old and worn, smelled musty but overall fine experience with helpful staff and a great restaurant attached to the hotel!

We stayed overnight for a concert. The room was nice and comfortable. The only downfall for me is that the room smelled like cigarettes. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cigarettes and woke up not feeling well in the morning. If the Radisson can get this set back figured out, it would be an excellent place to stay in Coralville.

It was clean and comfortable, close enough to the UI hospital (the reason we were there), and reasonably priced.

Hotel was just lovely from start to finish. Very friendly staff, clean throughout and room was very comfortable. Would definitely come back

The front desk staff were quite pleasant, helpful, and respectful. The head of housecleaning, however, presented what I considered a bad attitude when I spoke with her about the grossly stained commode in my room. She was unapologetic and stated that due to the hotel's hard water, the toilets stain and are on a monthly acid cleaning schedule. Apparently, a revisit to this schedule is needed as I didn't appreciate paying a football game weekend rate per night (I had a 2-night stay) and having to look at gross stains in the toilet. It was room 309, and I have pictures. I did not want to be unfair and give all negative and poor ratings due to the one issue, so I gave mostly middle of the road ratings, as the problem certainly detracted from the other positive features of this hotel. BTW, since my stay November 24 and 25th, I have been in Iowa City for two additional weekends and stayed at the Marriott and Homewood Suites. Neither hotel had stained toilets from hard water. Further, over the last 4 years, I have come to Iowa City 6 or so times a year for the football games and have even stayed at the adjoining Hampton Inn with no toilet stains.

Way too expensive for what it was. Room was not very clean. Cracked tiles and mold in bathroom. Queen beds sagged in the middle because they didn't have the necessary center support leg. No directory in the room about the hotel telling us about the hotel or amenities. I would expect a continental breakfast for $180 per night.

Very good hotel; good location and modern facilities.

This place has gotten a facelift with a sharp looking lobby, new linens and décor in the rooms etc. At the heart of it though, this is an older facility so despite the room looking new (and to their credit being very clean) it still smelled like an old hotel, with a lumpy mattress and a heater/AC unit that sounded like a freight train every time it came on. When the people in the room above us made any movement it sounded like our ceiling was shaking. Also, while updated and pretty, this was an almost comically small bathroom. On the plus side, the pool was crystal clear and a perfect temperature. The whirlpool, unfortunately, had way too few jets and they were mounted an inch above the seat? If you want a hot water butt massage this is your place... Again, the staff was friendly and the place was clean but, with so many options in Iowa City, I think we will try someplace different next time.

Lovely refurbished room. Our floor used to allow smoking. An otherwise excellent experience was marred by the smell of stale cigarette smoke which no amount of carpet fresh could disguise. We suspect that ceilings may need an extra couple of coats of paint to eliminate the problem.

The staff provided a warm friendly environment upon my arrival which was consistent during my 2 night stay. I used room service from Twelve01 both nights which was costly but I preferred the convenience vs venturing out to find something local by myself. It was conveniently located near the Coralville mall which is close to where I was working.

Even though the front desk was under construction, it did not affect our stay what so ever! The room and furnishings were great and the beds and bedding were luxurious! We highly recommend visiting the the bar/restaurant the drinks and food were great and so was the service! We really loved our bartender!

Nice room , good food. Nice place to stay right off freeway. We needed a place to stay in between travel spots and this met our needs.

The Jacuzzi was disappointing as it was not very warm and not all the jets were working. It seemed disorganized with signs/pictures leaning against the walls instead of being hung up.

Front desk was extremely polite. Check in and out was a breeze. When we entered the room we noticed the smoke detector battery was dying and it beeped. Told the front desk and he was on the phone getting someone to check it while we were out to dinner. It was fixed when we got back. The only downside is the walls are a little thin and heard people in the hallway late at night going to their rooms. Other than that it was a big suite that was clean with very easy access to the expressway. The pool area was really nice and there is a restaurant attached. We did not eat at the restaurant so I can not give an additional review on it.

Hotel is in a good location to Interstate and University of Iowa. New Riverfront area with Von Maur and other shops is very close. We passed on the hotel pool... smaller pool in smaller room. This is not a new hotel, but has been updated and maintained.

This hotel meets the Holiday Inn standard. Spacious, clean, convenient, reasonably priced. Nothing flashy, but a reliable option. This location is not quite as nice as the Holiday Inn Express by the mall in Coralville, but it's close enough in quality and it's price is fair.

The staffs are all very friendly. They were very helpful in resolving my reservation issue last time, although, there's no issue this time. The staff offered wake up call in the morning when I checked in. this is a nice gesture that I haven't have from the other hotels. The good thing was nothing went wrong and I had a good night sleep.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip. It's conveniently located a bit off of the interstate, but hidden behind another hotel so it's hard to see unless you know it's there. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. The hotel was clean, and the room was even more so.

It was clean! and nice and quiet. The staff was friendly.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Our stay was very comfortable.
